Snoop Dogg Books a Room at His Wife’s Hotel — Receptionist Makes a HUGE Mistake!
It was a normal busy afternoon at The Snoop Hotel, a luxury hotel in Los Angeles owned by none other than Snoop Dogg and his wife, Shante Broadus. The hotel, known for its relaxed atmosphere and celebrity clientele, catered to high-profile guests but also welcomed everyone with its signature Snoop-flavored charm.
Snoop and Shante had just returned from a business trip, and Snoop, not wanting any special treatment, decided to book a room for the night under a false name—just to get a feel for how his wife’s hotel was being run and whether the staff was maintaining the quality he wanted.
He walked up to the front desk, wearing sunglasses, a casual hoodie, and his usual laid-back smile. The receptionist, a young woman named Jessica, didn’t immediately recognize him. It was common for celebrities to blend in at the hotel, and she was focused on checking in the other guests.
Snoop approached the desk and said, “Hi, I’ve got a reservation for tonight under the name ‘John Doe’. Just checking in.”
Jessica glanced at her computer screen, tapping in the name “John Doe”. “I’m sorry, but I don’t see any reservation under that name. Can I see your ID?” she asked, offering a polite smile.
Snoop, trying to keep things low-key, handed over a fake ID with the name “John Doe” on it, just as he had planned. He didn’t expect any issues. However, the moment Jessica looked at the ID and then back at Snoop, she started to feel uneasy.
“Sir, I’m sorry, but this ID looks a little suspicious,” she said, squinting at it. “It’s hard to read, and honestly, it doesn’t look like a real ID.”
Snoop tried to hold back a grin. “It’s real. Trust me,” he said. But Jessica wasn’t convinced. She was now calling over her supervisor, who came over to help.
As the supervisor walked up, Jessica nervously whispered to her, “I think this person might be trying to check in with a fake ID. He says his name is John Doe, but something doesn’t seem right.”
The supervisor turned to Snoop, still not recognizing him, and asked, “Can I see the ID again, sir? And perhaps a credit card for verification?”
Snoop could barely suppress his laughter. He’d been through much crazier situations in his life, but he knew where this was going.
“Look, let me make this easier for you,” Snoop said, taking off his sunglasses. “I’m Snoop Dogg. This is my wife’s hotel. My real name’s not John Doe—obviously.”
The supervisor and Jessica froze, their eyes widening. The supervisor blinked a couple of times, clearly in shock. “Wait, are you… the Snoop Dogg?” she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
Snoop nodded with a grin. “Yeah, it’s me. I thought I’d come in, book a room like any regular guest, and see how things were going around here. I didn’t want any special treatment.”
Jessica, now mortified, apologized profusely. “I’m so sorry, Mr. Dogg! I didn’t recognize you. I didn’t mean to cause any trouble. You can stay in any room, of course!”
Snoop raised his hand, signaling for her to relax. “It’s all good. But next time, you might wanna double-check the list before making assumptions,” he said with a laugh. “It’s a lesson in always treating everyone with respect, no matter who they are.”
The hotel staff was clearly embarrassed, but Snoop, in his usual laid-back style, wasn’t angry. Instead, he took the opportunity to give the staff a little advice. He turned to the manager and said, “Make sure all your employees know who’s walking through that door. But remember, every person here deserves the same treatment—whether they’re a famous rapper or just a regular guest.”
Later, as Snoop headed to his room, the entire hotel staff buzzed with excitement, but it wasn’t just because they had checked in one of the world’s most famous musicians. It was a lesson in humility and respect that everyone would carry with them long after the night ended.
Snoop’s visit to his own hotel wasn’t just about checking in—it was a reminder to the staff to treat every guest with care, no matter their background. And of course, it gave them a good laugh afterward. The infamous moment became a story shared in the hotel for years to come, teaching the value of checking in with humility, not just the guest list.
