A male escort who took the stand at the sex trafficking trial of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has detailed one specific rule he was allegedly given by Cassie Ventura as they took part in ‘freak offs’.

Sharay Hayes was called as a witness at Combs’ ongoing trial yesterday (May 20), following testimony from Ventura, her mom, and one of Combs’ former assistants.

The trial comes after Combs was arrested in September 2024 and hit with charges including racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, which he has denied.

During questioning, Hayes said he met Combs and Ventura during the fall of 2012 after receiving a call from Ventura, who allegedly said at the time her name was Janet.

It’s claimed that Ventura told Hayes it was her birthday, and her husband had told her she could hire an exotic dancer.

Believing he was going to perform a strip tease dance for a small group, Hayes told the court he went to the Trump International Hotel in New York City, where he then met Combs and Ventura.

Hayes claimed he didn’t recognize Venture when she opened the door wearing a robe, and he believes she was also wearing a wig.

After arriving, Hayes alleges Ventura invited him into the suite and said that she didn’t want him to dance, but instead that she and her ‘husband’ ‘liked to create a sexy scene’ involving baby oil.

Hayes testified that the hotel room was ‘dimly lit’ with ‘electric candles’, and contained ‘bowls of water with bottles of baby oil in them’.

He then alleged he received one specific instruction from Ventura, saying: “I was specifically told to not acknowledge her husband, try not to look at him, no communication or anything.”

When the ‘husband’ came into the room, Hayes claimed he was ‘naked’ but that he ‘could not see his face’.

After their initial meeting, Hayes testified he had similar encounters with Combs and Ventura ‘eight or 12 times’, with the pair ‘asking for a sexy scene’ which the escort allegedly knew would always be ‘more’.

The court heard that Combs would ‘direct’ during their encounters, saying things like ‘sit forward’ or directing ‘what would happen sexually’.

“One time during sex he dropped a stack of money. He said, ‘I like this sh*t’,” Hayes claimed.

The escort testified they would use as much baby oil ‘as possible’ during the encounters, which would last for ‘hours’.

Despite Combs allegedly being referred to as Ventura’s ‘husband’ during the encounters, the pair were never married, and instead dated on-and-off for more than a decade.

Hayes said his last encounter with Ventura and Combs took place in 2016, after which Ventura allegedly paid him and thanked him for ‘respecting their privacy in terms of [their] interactions’

Cassie speaks out in emotional statement following final testimony at Diddy trial

The singer said the more she ‘heals,’ the more she ‘remembers’

Warning: This article contains allegations of sex trafficking, abuse, assault and drug use which some readers may find distressing.

Cassie Ventura has released a statement addressing her ‘extremely challenging’ week giving testimony in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sex-trafficking trial.

On May 12, the sex trafficking trial of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs began in Manhattan federal court – the rapper having been indicted by a grand jury and arrested in September last year.

The 55-year-old has been charged with racketeering conspiracy, two charges of sex trafficking and two charges of transportation to engage in prostitution – he has denied all charges.

The first week of the trial saw R&B singer and dancer Cassie – real name Casandra Ventura – also a former partner of Combs, called to the stand to give testimony.

The 38-year-old took to the stand while eight months pregnant, speaking about the alleged abuse she faced while in a relationship with Combs.

In a statement read on her behalf by her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, outside the Manhattan federal courthouse, the singer reflected on the week as ‘extremely challenging’.

“But also remarkably empowering and healing for me,” she added.

Ventura noted ‘the more I heal, the more I can remember’.

“And the more I can remember, the more I will never forget,” she said.

Ventura continued: “I want to thank my family and my advocates for their unwavering support, and I’m grateful for all the kindness and encouragement that I have received.”

She also said: “I hope that my testimony has given strength and a voice to other survivors, and can help others who have suffered to speak up and also heal from the abuse and fear.”

The statement resolved: “I’m glad to put this chapter of my life to rest. As I turn to focus on the conclusion of my pregnancy, I ask for privacy for me and for my growing family.”

History of Combs and Ventura’s relationship and allegations

Combs and Ventura dated for around a decade – Ventura was 19 when they first met and Combs was 37.

Ventura first spoke out against Combs in November 2023, filing a sexual abuse lawsuit in Federal District Court in Manhattan alleging Combs ‘frequently beat’ and also raped her in 2018 – which Combs ‘vehemently denied’ at the time.

Around 24 hours later, it was revealed Ventura and Combs had reached a settlement – Combs paying a hefty settlement fee.

The lawsuit alleged Combs as being a ‘serial domestic abuser, who would regularly beat and kick Ms Ventura, leaving black eyes, bruises, and blood’, ‘pl[ying] the vulnerable Ms Ventura with drugs and alcohol, causing her to fall into dangerous addictions that controlled her life’ – allegedly beginning when he signed her to his record label.
