Mahomes explained to fans that he had been told to slow down on autograph signings because it affected the pace of play.

“They told me I can’t do anymore… I was signing stuff, and they said I was taking too long,” Mahomes told the group nearby.Still, one young fan gave it a shot. “Mr. Mahomes, will you sign my jersey when you’re done?” the boy asked. The quarterback, still polite but firm, replied, “Can’t sign for everyone… can’t make everybody happy.” That’s when the dad chimed in. “Yeah, you can… you can just make one kid happy out of a hundred,” he said.

Mahomes didn’t flinch. “I’ll make 99 sad,” he shot back. “That’s alright… one out of 99, at least it ain’t zero percent,” the dad added, pushing the issue a little further.
