BREAKING: Steve Kerr Sends Strong Stephen Curry Message After Warriors-Rockets Game 7

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors were pushed to the brink by the Houston Rockets after beating defeated in Game 5 and Game 6 to force a winner-take-all Game 7 on Sunday night. Despite coming one game away from elimination, the Warriors prevailed and eliminated the Rockets by a final score of 103-89.

Despite what was an extremely hard-fought series, Golden State survived and will now move on to a very difficult matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In the Game 7 win, Curry scored 22 points to go along with 10 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and two blocks. Buddy Hield led the way for the Warriors, scoring 33 points and making nine 3-point attempts in the win.

Following the big-time victory, head coach Steve Kerr spoke out and delivered a strong message about Curry and his ability to still play at such a high level at 37 years old.

“I’m blown away by Steph [Curry’s] competitive fight at 37,” Kerr said. “[He has] 4 rings, gold medal. He has nothing to prove and yet he’s gonna come in and try to prove something every single night. It’s amazing.”

It has become very clear that Curry is still just as hungry to add another championship and ring to his collection as he has always been.

Throughout the years, Golden State has been tested time and time again. Behind the leadership of Curry, as well as longtime veteran Draymond Green, the Warriors have found ways to win on many of those occasions.

Game 1 between Golden State and the Timberwolves is scheduled to be played on Tuesday night at 9:30 p.m. ET. A new challenge awaits Curry and company in that series.
