New York – Last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, comedian and actress Meg Stalter had the audience in stitches when she appeared wearing a bold T-shirt that read: “Meg Stalter Is The Prettiest Girl In America.”

As soon as she stepped on stage, Stalter stole the spotlight. Colbert teased, “I love your shirt. That’s quite a statement!” To which Stalter quipped, “So many people kept saying it, I thought it was probably time to put it on a shirt.”

From Instagram to Netflix

Colbert reminded viewers that Stalter first rose to fame during the pandemic with viral Instagram videos. From internet sensation to breakout star in HBO’s acclaimed series Hacks, Stalter is now headlining the new Netflix show Too Much, created by Lena Dunham.

When asked about filming in London, Stalter couldn’t resist poking fun: “I think London is so fun. But once in a while you’re having breakfast and you just want to scream, ‘Get me out of here!’ Their breakfast is so weird.”

Comedy Without Limits

During the interview, Stalter reflected on her early comedy days in Chicago. She experimented with outrageous bits, from performing stand-up in just her bra to walking on stage with fake blood dripping from her mouth. Not every audience got the joke—sometimes the room went silent with concern.

She also recalled her brief time as a waitress: “I was only good if I had one table. If I had two, I’d forget everything.” One customer even snapped at her after waiting too long for a refill.

The Future of Too Much

When Colbert asked about a second season, Stalter leaned into the moment: “I’m starting a big rumor that we are.”

If the rumor proves true, fans can expect more of Stalter’s quirky, unpredictable charm—the same charisma that can turn a homemade T-shirt sewn together in her car into the centerpiece of a national TV moment.
