Stephen A Smith OBLITERATES The View’s Obsession With Trump Hate
🎭 The Echo Chamber Crumbles: Why 77 Million Voters Ignore the Panic
The elite media’s collective meltdown over Donald Trump’s rhetoric and alleged instability perfectly encapsulates the growing chasm between a detached political class and the working American electorate. Their panic—whether it’s screaming about late-night texts to Governor Walz or the use of offensive terms—is being met with a simple, resounding shrug from a massive chunk of the country. As Stephen A. Smith rightly pointed out to the hysterics on The View, 77 million people voted for Trump in the last cycle, and they absolutely do not care about the manufactured moral outrage because they are fixated on real, palpable failures of governance: affordability and public safety.
The Hypocrisy of “Unlawful Orders”
The media’s relentless pursuit of “gotcha” moments, perfectly demonstrated by Sunny Hostin’s failed trap against Smith, reveals a hypocritical and script-driven worldview. Hostin attempted to corner Smith using Senator Mark Kelly—a veteran and former astronaut—who participated in a video reminding troops they can refuse illegal orders. This was an attempt to leverage the senator’s military credentials to shut down dissent.
However, Smith refused to be cornered, blasting Senator Kelly for publicly urging troops to ignore the Commander-in-Chief—a move he called “crossing the line”—and arguing that Congress should use its proper channels, such as impeachment proceedings, instead of viral videos. The hypocrisy is staggering: while these Democrats were broadcasting their message, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who slammed the Democrats’ video as “despicable, reckless, and false,” was revealed to have said the exact same thing in 2016, stating, “That’s why the military said it won’t follow unlawful orders from their commander-in-chief.” This monumental flip-flop from Hegseth—condemning the very rule of law he once championed—underscores the political cynicism at the heart of the debate, where principles are secondary to party loyalty.
The Death of Discussion and the Rise of Affordability
The Democrats’ relentless focus on identity politics and perpetual Trump hatred has not just been ineffective; it has been a catastrophic political failure. Smith’s most powerful moment came when he cut off a caller who attempted to paint all Republicans with the single, lazy brushstroke of “racist,” demanding that the person “be better, be smarter.” Smith forcefully argued that this blanket, weak-kneed position eradicates the potential for intelligent discussion about actual issues.
This refusal to engage in meaningful debate, coupled with the failure to deliver on economic stability, is the key reason the Democratic party is losing traditionally reliable voting blocs.
Voter Shift: Between 2020 and 2024, Donald Trump’s support among Black voters nearly doubled, rising from 8% to 15%. His support among Hispanic voters saw an even more dramatic increase, rising from 36% to 48%.
Reasons for the Shift: This historic shift is driven by voters—many of whom are working-class and disproportionately impacted by economic volatility—who are prioritizing issues like affordability, inflation, and public safety over the cultural grievances championed by the elite media and the progressive left. Hispanic voters, in particular, have been disproportionately exposed to economic pressures and high inflation.
Smith’s ultimate, winning advice to the Democratic party is a simple sports analogy: “Focus on what’s going to win.” The winning issues, he argues, are affordability and safety, period. The party’s obsession with political stunts and “woke language” has left them deaf to the chaos that real Americans are living through, confirming the suspicion that they care more about virtue-signaling than governing. The media’s manufactured panic over Trump’s character is failing because voters are tired of being talked down to by bitter scolds and are ready to reward the candidate who promises to solve the problems in their bank accounts and on their streets.
