Bigfoot DNA Is Real—But David Paulides Reveals Even Stranger Evidence That Will Blow Your Mind
American Sasquatch: Beyond the Ape
What if I told you we already have verified Bigfoot DNA? What if the evidence points to Sasquatch being much more than a simple, undiscovered ape—something that challenges our very understanding of reality? That’s the journey I found myself on, sitting down with one of the most respected investigators in the field, former police detective David Paulides.
I’ve spoken with dozens of people about Bigfoot over the last year. But nothing quite hit me like the interview you’re about to read. The facts laid out by Paulides—calmly, methodically—forced me to rethink everything I thought I knew about the Sasquatch mystery.

The Gatekeepers
Early on, I learned our government will never admit to anything it can’t control. The secrecy surrounding our parks is, frankly, beyond belief. There are gatekeepers—officials who know things they don’t want the public to know, and who act with the arrogance of those who think we “can’t handle” the truth.
Paulides doesn’t waste words. Decades of catching liars, building airtight cases, and following evidence wherever it leads have made him a master of the facts. When he talks about Sasquatch, he walks through the DNA work, the physical evidence that vanishes from public view, and the patterns he’s seen across thousands of cases—patterns almost no one else knows about.
DNA: The Maternal Mystery
Paulides explains: “All of the maternal side were the same, and they showed it coming back 12 to 15,000 years to the Middle East. The fraternal side didn’t exist in GenBank, the world receptacle for DNA.”
Let that sink in. The maternal DNA traces back to ancient humans, but the paternal DNA is completely unknown—never seen before, never categorized, not in billions or even trillions of base pairs. It’s as if Sasquatch is both part of us and something else entirely.
This isn’t speculation. Paulides and his team collected over 110 verifiable samples—hair, tissue, blood, saliva—from across North America. Hair and fiber experts said, “That’s nothing we’ve ever seen.” DNA experts couldn’t match it to any known animal or human. The nuclear DNA, which reveals the paternal line, was simply missing from any database.
The Critics and the Cover-Up
Of course, critics pounced. Dr. Melba Ketchum, the veterinarian who led the DNA study, was attacked for not being a “real scientist.” Her findings were published in a journal she founded herself, Denovo Journal, after mainstream journals refused to touch the evidence.
But Paulides counters: “She’s testified as a DNA expert in Texas courts and put people on death row with her testimony. When samples come up in Texas, she’s the one that goes and testifies.”
Moreover, Ketchum wasn’t alone. Multiple PhDs worked on the white paper. “Do you really think these people would put their livelihood and honest nature on the line for something they didn’t truly believe?” Paulides asks.

The Phenomenon: More Than an Animal
The physical evidence is overwhelming—tracks with five-foot strides crossing snowy hillsides, tree breaks, and eyewitness reports. But the phenomenon goes deeper.
Paulides recounts stories of Bigfoot tracks that start and end in the middle of nowhere, on ground where no jump or tree cover could explain their sudden appearance or disappearance.
And then there’s “mind speak”—telepathic communication reported by thousands. Native Americans described Bigfoot as able to mimic anything imaginable. Ron Morehead, at his Sierra camp, heard his camp being torn apart—broken glass, tables breaking—only to find everything untouched. Another time, he heard a car door open and close, miles from any road.
The Origin Story
Where did they come from? Paulides says, “Based on the DNA, there was no evolutionary relationship with Bigfoot.” He shares a story from the 1800s, recorded by a rancher near the Oregon-California border. Native Americans would feed meat to a creature living in the cliffs—hairy, polite, not quite human. The elder explained: “A couple times a year, this flaming moon comes down from the sky, settles on the meadow, and two, sometimes three of the crazy bears come out of the moon and jump down on the land. They’re our friends. We feed them. Then people inside the moon wave goodbye and leave.”
The wording is perfect for the time—before spacecraft or flying saucers entered the lexicon. But the implication is clear: Bigfoot may be something far stranger than an undiscovered primate.
Government Suppression and the Paranormal
Paulides’s research led him to Skinwalker Ranch, where the government spent $20 million to investigate portals, UFOs, and animal mutilations. Private researchers documented phenomena that defied explanation. “They had portals opening. UFOs flying. Animal mutilations. A plethora of paranormal events at one spot,” Paulides says.
Why spend so much money? “They really have no idea,” he says. “This is about phenomena the government can’t contain, can’t control, and in some cases can’t even understand.”
The Million-Dollar Question
Where does this leave us? The evidence is clear: Sasquatch is not just a myth, nor simply an unclassified animal. The DNA, the eyewitness accounts, the government secrecy, and the paranormal events all point to something much bigger—a mystery that challenges the boundaries of science and belief.
Paulides’s film, American Sasquatch: Man, Myth, or Monster, boldly walks into these aspects of the phenomenon. He brings together the best researchers, asking viewers to listen with an open mind.
“I want people to know that’s not what this movie is,” Paulides says. “I’ve laid out some of the best researchers you could find. Go there with an open mind. Listen to what they have to say.”
The Search Continues
As for answers, Paulides is honest: “Honestly, I don’t know.” But he’s certain we’re dealing with much more than a simple, unclassified animal. The search continues.
If you want to join this quest, subscribe to Cabin in the Woods, support the research, and keep digging. The truth is out there, and it’s stranger—and closer—than you think.
