“Dear Lord… I’ve never felt that on this stage.” Reba McEntire whispered those trembling words before the cameras even caught her face — and that was the moment everyone in The Voice studio realized something unimaginable had just happened. What followed was a knockout so emotionally explosive it left both Reba and Niall Horan looking shaken, breathless, and completely undone.
The first contestant delivered a note so piercingly beautiful that Reba staggered back in her chair, hand clutching her chest as if the sound had physically hit her. But then the second contestant stepped into the spotlight — voice trembling, raw, stripped bare — and Niall froze mid-breath, gripping his mic as tears glazed his eyes. He shot Reba a helpless glance, a silent plea that said everything: “How do we choose between this?”
When the music finally faded, the coaches couldn’t hold it in anymore. Reba rose slowly, eyes wet, voice breaking as she whispered, “You didn’t just sing… you took my heart right out of me.” Niall bowed his head, shaking with emotion, admitting, “I’ve never been hit this hard by a performance… ever.”
A studio insider later revealed that as soon as the cameras cut, both coaches “left the stage to breathe,” overwhelmed by a decision unlike anything they’d faced before. And the final twist — the one that left viewers gasping — is still being called the most shocking knockout result of the season.

It’s the Knockout battle of the four-chair turns when Jazz McKenzie and TeoRamdel from Team Bublé face off on Monday night on The Voice.
In the Season 28 Knockouts, the musicians are paired up against a teammate in a sing-off that will determine who will move on to the Playoffs. There are no Saves or Steals in the Knockout rounds, so the loser is eliminated. And while the coaches decide on the pairings, each artist gets to pick their song to give an indication of the type of artist they hope to be after the competition.
In addition to an assist from their coach, this season, Grammy Award-winning multi-hyphenate Zac Brown is serving as a Mega Mentor for Michael Bublé’s team, which means that Jazz and Teo got some advice from Brown.
NBC shared a leak from Team Bublé with Jazz singing “Cruisin’” by Smokey Robinson and Teo performing “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi.
“Bravo! Bravo! Magnifico! Perfection,” Snoop Dog reacted. “Just everything I could think of in Spanish. Damn, Teo, that was a helluva performance. All those moves, the way you started and came back. Come on, that’s superstar stuff right there, man. Now Jazz, you are an exceptional vocalist. You know you’re wrong for doing a Smokey Robinson song like that. I mean, you rewrote. You were devoted and quoted and that is noted. Michael Bublé, it’s Jazz.”

Niall Horan was equally impressed, saying, “Teo, You’re willing to try any song, and challenge yourself and stuff like that, but every time you do it, you’re just Teo. And you do Teo very well, so congratulations. It was amazing again. Jazz, you’re arguably the best singer in this show. It’s amazing that you can do what you do so effortlessly. You don’t even look like you’re trying at all. It makes me sick. It’s not fair. I’m not telling you, Bublé, what I think.”
Then Reba McEntire was up for a critique. She said, “Jazz, that was wonderful. Great performance. I’ve been in awe because I’ve turned my chair for you along with the other three guys. It was just unbelievable. And Teo, great performance. The choreography and everything was very powerful. Your singing was great. I never heard a Bon Jovi song sung like that before, so very nice. And you got the crowd going really well.”
Finally, it was time for their coach, and Michael kept it simple, saying “Teo, I know how hard you just worked. You sang it beautifully. Jazz, God’s light radiates through you.”
And the winner of the Knockout will be revealed on Monday night when Michael reveals his decision.
The Voice airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Streams next day on Peacock.
