Nese’s Journey: From Chains to Freedom

A puppy’s life should be filled with nothing but playtime and happiness. Sadly, that wasn’t the case for Nese, a five-month-old puppy who endured unimaginable abuse.

This poor pup had been chained on a farm in a remote agricultural area, where her condition went far beyond neglect. Her frail, emaciated body was covered in mange, and her spirit was weighed down by the cruelty she had suffered.

A Harsh Start to Life

Nese’s start in life was nothing short of harsh, robbing her of the carefree joy that every puppy deserves. It was clear she had been chained since birth, her freedom stolen from the very beginning.

A kind-hearted neighboring farmer discovered her and contacted us. When we removed the chain, Nese immediately collapsed.

Seeing her up close was truly heartbreaking. Her tiny body was a picture of suffering, covered in some of the worst cases of mange we had ever seen. Her skin was raw, scaly, and oozing in places, while most of her fur was gone.

The mange had stripped her of almost all her hair, leaving behind a rough, leathery surface that looked painfully uncomfortable with every movement.

A Cry for Help

Poor Nese was confused and anxious. She wasn’t used to enclosed spaces or being around so many people. I comforted her and offered her food, hoping to ease her fear.

The next day, we began medicated baths to treat the mange that covered her small body. At first, she was nervous, but the gentle warmth of the water seemed to calm her down.

That first bath was the best new beginning for Nese—a chance to finally be clean and free from the physical remnants of her painful past. Each drop of water washed away a small piece of her suffering. She remained calm and seemed to enjoy the entire process.

Healing Through Care

In the safety of our home, Nese received constant care, combining medical treatment with gentle socialization.

Due to the advanced stage of her condition, treating Nese’s mange required meticulous effort. She underwent intensive medicated baths, which were essential to cleanse her skin of scaly buildup, dead mites, and infected areas.

We used a special solution containing antiparasitic agents to kill the mites causing her mange. After each bath, we applied ointments directly to the affected areas of her skin. These ointments helped relieve her itching, reduce inflammation, and eliminate any remaining mites on the surface of her skin.

Signs of Recovery

To our relief, Nese’s blood tests came back better than expected. Her internal functions, including liver and kidney activity, were surprisingly stable.

In just 10 days, Nese was no longer the same dog. Her fur had started to grow back, her body was stronger, and her eyes sparkled with a newfound sense of playfulness.

Freedom and Love

Nese had spent her entire life chained outdoors—sick, starving, and deprived of the unrestrained joy every puppy deserves.

Today, she has returned to nature, but this time, she is free, strong, beautiful, and most importantly, surrounded by love and care.

Nese’s journey is a testament to the resilience of animals and the power of compassion. She is now living the life she always deserved, and her story will forever remind us of the importance of kindness and second chances.
