While I was out for a run, I spotted a tiny puppy sitting helplessly on the side of the road. The sight of her—frightened and vulnerable—was truly heartbreaking. I looked around, but there was no sign of her mother or an owner anywhere nearby. The thought of leaving her behind was unbearable.
The puppy was extremely shy and scared, as if she had been waiting on the roadside for something or someone to save her. I approached her gently, speaking softly to reassure her. Despite my efforts, she continued to whimper quietly, clearly terrified.
“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you,” I whispered. “Come with me, I’ll give you a home.”
But as soon as I set her down, she ran straight back to her original spot, as if it was the only place where she felt safe. Even though she was frightened, she never tried to bite me. After about fifteen minutes of gentle coaxing, I finally managed to bring her home.

All the way back, the little puppy watched me with wary eyes, unsure of what was happening. Once we arrived, I prepared a warm, comfortable place for her to sleep. She lay there quietly, as if she understood that I was trying to help her. The puppy seemed utterly exhausted and soon fell into a deep sleep, regaining a bit of strength after resting for a long time.
As she ate, I noticed that her hind legs were slightly twisted, as if she had suffered an injury. My family and I did everything we could to help her adjust to her new life.
The next morning, I went out to buy a crate for her. Despite our efforts, her face still looked sad—perhaps she missed her mother. After all, she was just a two-month-old puppy.
Within a week, her health had improved dramatically. Her leg no longer seemed to bother her, and she adapted to her new home remarkably well. Soon, she was running around the yard with joy—the kind of energy every puppy should have. She was especially adorable, like a little white cotton ball bouncing around.
Watching her transformation, I knew I had made the right choice. Now, she walks with me every day, always cheerful and playful, leading the way with her boundless enthusiasm. It’s clear how happy she is now.
With love and care, she has grown into a beautiful, healthy puppy. We named this lovely girl Ben.
Thank you for reading her story.
