Watch ‘The Bear’ Star Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen Belt Out “Born to Run” in Trailer for ‘Deliver Me from Nowhere’
We now have our first real glimpse of the upcoming Bruce Springsteen bio pic, Deliver Me from Nowhere. An official trailer for the film, whose full title has been revealed to be Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, has debuted at 20th Century Studios’ YouTube channel.

Accompanying the preview is a message announcing the movie’s premiere date, October 24. As previously reported, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere stars The Bear actor Jeremy Allen White as the Boss. The film focuses on the making of Springsteen’s acclaimed 1982 acoustic album Nebraska.
The trailer includes a scene of White as Springsteen preparing to record one of the songs from Nebraska in the bedroom of his New Jersey home with help from his recording engineer and guitar tech, Mike Batlan, portrayed by Paul Walter Hauser. The segment features Bruce remarking to Batlan, “Don’t need to be perfect. I want it to feel like I’m in the room by myself.”
The promo ends with the actors playing Bruce and the E Street Band performing “Born to Run” in concert.
The trailer begins with Springsteen checking out a new car at a car dealership. The salesman comments to Bruce, “I do know who you are,” to which Springsteen responds, “Well, that makes one of us.”
The preview also features black-and-white scenes depicting moments of Springsteen’s childhood, including one interaction that hints at his turbulent relationship with his father.
Monologue at the Centerpiece of the Trailer
Running through most of the trailer is a voice-over from Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s longtime manager, Jon Landau. The comments are taken from a scene where Landau is talking about the Nebraska album to a record executive who apparently is worried about the commercial prospects of the stripped-down collection of tunes.
“Here’s what I want you to understand,” Strong as Landau explains. “This is not about either one of us. … This is not about the charts. This is about Bruce Springsteen. And these are the songs that he wants to work on right now.”
He continues, “Let me tell you a little story. When Bruce was little, he had a hole in the floor of his bedroom. The floor, it’s supposed to be solid. You’re supposed to be able to stand on it. Bruce, he didn’t have that. Bruce is a repairman. And what he’s doing with this album is he’s repairing that hole in his floor. He’s repairing that hole in himself. And once he’s done that, he’s gonna repair the entire world.
During this segment of the trailer, a montage of clips from the film are shown. They include scenes depicting a young Springsteen being roughly coaxed by his father to box with him and of Bruce dancing with his mother. It also shows an older Springsteen having romantic moments with a girlfriend, confronting his father in a bar, and working on lyrics.
Near the preview’s end, we see Springsteen telling Landau, “I’m trying to find something real in all the noise.” The manager responds, “You always do.”
This leads into the segment featuring the performance of “Born to Run.”
More About Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere
As previously reported, the biopic is based on musician-turned-author Warren Zanes’ 2023 non-fiction novel Deliver Me from Nowhere.

The film was directed by Scott Cooper, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Zanes.
Besides White, Strong, and Batlan, the movie features Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, Doug; Odessa Young as Bruce’s love interest, Faye; Gaby Hoffman as Springsteen’s mom, Adele; and Marc Maron as producer Chuck Plotkin.
Springsteen and Landau were both involved in the production of the movie.
