Espie’s journey started in the most difficult way imaginable. She was one of 22 dogs surrendered to the Austin Animal Center on a day that changed their lives forever. All 22 had come from the same place—a breeding situation that spiraled out of control, leaving too many dogs and not enough food, space, or care.
