Cardi B Shares Update on “Not Peaceful” Divorce from Offset

After months of speculation and silence, Cardi B is finally opening up about the current state of her divorce from estranged husband Offset—and according to her, it’s far from amicable.

During her appearance on The Breakfast Club on September 19th, the Grammy-winning rapper didn’t sugarcoat the reality of her ongoing legal battle. When asked how things are progressing with Offset, whom she filed for divorce from more than a year ago, Cardi responded bluntly:

“It’s not peaceful at all. I can’t even talk about it because it’s, like, a court thing… but just know—it is not peaceful.”

The candid admission marks a rare public comment from the usually outspoken star, and it’s clear the situation is more tense than previously understood.

But legal woes aren’t the only source of frustration. Cardi also took issue with Offset seemingly using his music to throw subtle jabs her way. In his latest track “Move On”, the former Migos rapper claims that Cardi never cooked for him during their marriage. The Bronx-born artist, however, was quick to fire back:

“Now you got all these [women] that cook for you. Why you still bothering me?”

Despite the turbulent split, Cardi B is not closing the door on love. In a surprising turn during the interview, she revealed that she still believes in marriage—just not on the same timeline as before.

“I will get married again, but not as quick as I got married the last time.”

Now reportedly expecting her first child with NFL star Stefon Diggs, Cardi seems to be turning a new page—one filled with cautious optimism, personal growth, and, hopefully, greater peace.

Though the divorce with Offset remains unresolved and emotionally charged, Cardi’s willingness to speak on it suggests she’s ready to reclaim her narrative, on her own terms.
