It seems Christine Brown is keeping her sense of humor intact — even when it comes to her ex-husband, Kody Brown.
In a new episode of Sister Wives, the TLC star shared a surprisingly lighthearted moment while discussing her current husband David Woolley and her ex. What began as an emotional reflection quickly turned into laughter when Christine jokingly suggested that Kody and David could become “brother husbands.”
Christine Reflects on the Past — and Keeps It Real
“The thing is, Kody is a good man,” Christine began sincerely. “He’s a good person, and we had a lot of good times. Going back and remembering that is super, super important.”
She added that, despite their complicated history, she could still imagine Kody having a fun time with her husband David.
“He’d have a blast with you in Moab,” she said, smiling. “You guys would have so much fun. You can go — I don’t even need to be there!”
Christine went on to clarify that spending time with Kody wouldn’t mean excusing his past behavior.
“By hanging out with him doesn’t mean I’m condoning his actions,” she said. “We all have friends that we don’t agree with all the time, but that doesn’t mean we end things.”
The “Brother Husbands” Joke That Broke the Tension
At that point, the conversation took a humorous turn when Christine quipped,
“You having a relationship with him is a good thing — doesn’t mean you’re condoning his actions. And it doesn’t mean you’re going to be brother husbands!”
Her husband David immediately burst into laughter, repeating the phrase in disbelief:
“Brother husbands? What the heck?”
Christine couldn’t help but laugh too, joking,
“Hey, I was a sister wife — that’s gone a little too far!”
The two laughed off the awkward moment, acknowledging that while “sister wives” is a familiar term, the idea of “brother husbands” is far less common — and definitely funnier.
“It’s so infrequent culturally,” Christine said with a grin. “Guys just don’t work that way, usually.”
A Moment of Humor and Healing
The exchange offered fans a glimpse into Christine’s post-divorce peace — and her ability to find humor in what once was a painful chapter.
Since leaving Kody and the plural marriage behind, Christine has embraced a new life with David, filled with joy, adventure, and a refreshingly grounded outlook.
Her playful “brother husbands” moment proves that even in the world of Sister Wives, a little laughter can go a long way toward healing old wounds.
