Manny Costello Brings Reba McEntire to Tears on The Voice

A Standout Blind Audition

Season 28 of The Voice is already delivering powerful, emotional moments, and one of the most unforgettable came during Manny Costello’s blind audition. Performing Craig Morgan’s heartfelt ballad “Almost Home”, the Athens, Georgia, father of two poured his soul into every lyric on Monday night’s episode.

Backstage, his wife and children watched alongside host Carson Daly, visibly moved by the raw emotion in Costello’s performance.

Reba’s Emotional Response

Costello’s heartfelt delivery quickly won over two coaches: Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg. But it was Reba’s tearful reaction that truly stole the show.

“Manny, you made me homesick,” Reba said, wiping away tears. “It took me back to all the greats I’ve been fortunate to listen to in my life. You’ve got qualities from George Jones and Haggard, and there’s a little Randy Travis in there. Gosh dang, why am I getting so emotional?”

Snoop Dogg handed Reba a box of tissues as she explained that her tears were tears of joy. “I feel very blessed to have been in the country music business all these years,” she continued. “You just triggered something that needed to come out.”

Praise From Snoop Dogg

Snoop also connected deeply with Costello’s voice, drawing on his own experiences collaborating with country legends like Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson.

“Your voice… it triggered that emotion in me,” Snoop joked. “It makes me wanna go to my green room — but we gotta finish the show!”

Team Reba Gets Stronger

When it came time to choose, Manny Costello followed his heart and joined Team Reba. The decision not only strengthened McEntire’s roster of talent but also gave fans one of the night’s most moving moments. It was a reminder of why The Voice continues to resonate with audiences — showcasing raw emotion, connection, and the unifying power of music.
