Fans around the world are mourning the loss of Ace Frehley, the legendary co-founder and lead guitarist of KISS, who passed away at the age of 74. His family confirmed the heartbreaking news on Thursday with an emotional statement:
“We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his final moments, we were fortunate enough to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers, and intentions. We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and the kindness he bestowed upon others. The magnitude of his passing is beyond comprehension. Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever.”
According to TMZ, Frehley had suffered a severe fall that led to a brain bleed, leaving him on life support. In September, he shared a message on Instagram explaining that he had to cancel a scheduled performance due to the accident. The following month, he canceled the remainder of his 2025 tour dates because of ongoing medical complications.
Born in 1951 in New York, Ace Frehley was the soul and sound of KISS, the band that forever changed rock history with its electrifying performances, iconic makeup, and explosive energy. He left the band in 1982 to pursue a successful solo career, but reunited with KISS for their monumental reunion tour in 1996.

More than just a guitarist, Frehley was a symbol of rebellion, innovation, and raw authenticity in the rock world. His blazing riffs and emotional solos inspired generations of musicians who followed in his footsteps.
His death marks the end of an era—a painful farewell to one of rock’s greatest icons.

But as countless fans continue to say:
“Ace may have left the stage, but his guitar will echo forever in our hearts.” 🎸🖤
