George Galloway Sparks Controversy by Questioning Whether Israel Was Behind Charlie Kirk Assassination

In a bold and controversial statement that has already begun to ripple across the political landscape, British MP George Galloway has raised eyebrows by publicly speculating on the possibility of Israeli involvement in the recent assassination of conservative American commentator Charlie Kirk.

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA and a high-profile figure in U.S. conservative politics, was shot and killed last week during a speaking engagement in Salt Lake City, Utah. The murder shocked the nation, and although investigations remain ongoing, no official motive or confirmed suspect has yet been publicly disclosed.

But now, the tragedy has taken a geopolitical turn.

George Galloway Considers Whether ISRAEL Assassinated Charlie Kirk

Speaking during a radio interview on Moats: The Mother of All Talk Shows, Galloway hinted that powerful international interests could be behind the killing — and went as far as to mention Israel by name.

“We must ask the uncomfortable questions,” Galloway said. “Charlie Kirk was one of the few major U.S. political influencers openly critical of Israeli policy, particularly regarding Gaza. Is it truly unthinkable that a foreign power might have seen him as a threat?”

Galloway, who has long been an outspoken critic of Israeli foreign policy and Western involvement in Middle Eastern conflicts, clarified that he was not accusing Israel directly. Still, his insinuation was enough to ignite a firestorm of online debate — and fierce backlash.

Critics from both the U.S. and U.K. political establishments condemned the remarks as irresponsible and inflammatory. A spokesperson for the Israeli Embassy in London dismissed the suggestion outright, calling it “a baseless and dangerous conspiracy theory aimed at inciting division and hatred.”

On the other hand, Galloway’s supporters praised his willingness to “say what others are afraid to even think.”

“He’s not claiming to have proof — he’s just asking questions,” one supporter wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Why is that suddenly off-limits?”

So far, U.S. authorities have made no indication of foreign involvement in the case. Investigators have stated that they are following up on thousands of tips and are actively pursuing leads. Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, has called for calm and patience, urging the public to avoid speculation until the facts are confirmed.

Still, the introduction of Israel into the conversation adds another volatile element to an already highly charged situation. Some worry that the narrative could fuel antisemitic conspiracy theories, especially among fringe political groups. Others argue that foreign interference — especially in high-profile political violence — should never be dismissed outright without full investigation.

Galloway, for his part, remains unapologetic.

“I’ve been vilified for asking questions my entire life,” he said. “If silence and blind obedience are what you expect, you’ve come to the wrong parliamentarian.”

As the investigation into Charlie Kirk’s assassination continues, one thing is clear: the political fallout is just beginning — and the truth, wherever it may lead, is sure to be explosive.
