Kayleigh McEnany: “I Could NOT BELIEVE This When I Heard It” – Former Press Secretary Reacts to Latest Biden Administration Move

In a powerful and impassioned segment on Fox News this week, former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany expressed her shock and disapproval of a recent decision by the Biden administration that she says “defies common sense and logic.” McEnany, now a co-host on Outnumbered, did not hold back when responding to what she called a “blatant betrayal of American priorities.”

“This is one of those moments where I genuinely had to pause and ask, ‘Is this real?’” McEnany said on air. “I could not believe this when I heard it. This administration continues to put America last—and they do it so openly.”

Her remarks came in response to reports that the Biden administration plans to move forward with a controversial proposal to offer temporary protected status (TPS) to thousands of migrants from Central America, despite ongoing concerns about the border crisis, resource strain, and national security. The policy, announced earlier this week by the Department of Homeland Security, aims to shield migrants from deportation due to unsafe conditions in their home countries.

According to McEnany, the timing and scale of the decision are “tone-deaf” in light of skyrocketing numbers of illegal crossings and the record-breaking volume of fentanyl and human trafficking cases reported along the southern border.

“We have veterans sleeping on the streets. We have communities that can’t keep up with basic services. And yet this administration continues to reward lawlessness and create new incentives for people to come here illegally,” she said. “It’s absolutely infuriating—and heartbreaking.”

Other panelists echoed McEnany’s frustration, pointing to data from border states like Texas and Arizona, where local officials have repeatedly pleaded with Washington for more support and stricter enforcement. Critics of the new policy argue that expanding protected status without real immigration reform or secure borders only worsens the crisis.

McEnany, known for her sharp communication skills and loyal defense of the Trump administration, also criticized the media for downplaying the implications of the decision. “If this were happening under President Trump, we’d be seeing wall-to-wall coverage of how ‘inhumane’ or ‘reckless’ it is. But now? Silence or spin,” she said.

Her comments quickly gained traction online, with clips from the segment going viral across conservative media platforms. Supporters praised McEnany for “saying what millions are thinking” and for holding the administration accountable.

The White House has defended its TPS expansion as a “humanitarian necessity,” citing unstable conditions in migrants’ countries of origin and the moral responsibility of the United States to offer temporary refuge. Still, with tensions over immigration rising and the 2024 presidential election on the horizon, this latest move has sparked yet another flashpoint in the country’s never-ending political debate.

As McEnany concluded her segment, she warned: “We are seeing the consequences in real time. And if something doesn’t change, the American people will have to step up and demand leaders who put their country first.”
