According to ClutchPoints insider Brett Siegel, the Golden State Warriors are exploring a potential sign-and-trade deal that would bring Chicago Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu to the Bay Area. The proposed package would reportedly be centered around rising forward Jonathan Kuminga, one of the Warriors’ most promising young assets.

The Warriors are believed to be intrigued by Dosunmu’s versatility, defensive prowess, and growing offensive impact. Coming off a strong 2024–25 season with the Bulls, Dosunmu showed flashes of becoming a two-way guard capable of handling pressure, defending multiple positions, and contributing as a secondary playmaker.

Golden State’s interest in Dosunmu signals a strategic shift as the franchise looks to reshape its roster around its aging core. With Stephen Curry entering the twilight of his career, and Klay Thompson having departed, the Warriors are under pressure to retool quickly while still competing for a title.

Trading Kuminga, who had a breakout season last year, wouldn’t come lightly. The 21-year-old forward averaged career highs in points, rebounds, and efficiency, showcasing his athleticism and ability to impact games on both ends. But sources indicate that Golden State may be willing to move him if it means acquiring a more playoff-ready piece who fits Steve Kerr’s system.

Meanwhile, the Bulls could view Kuminga as a high-upside addition to a roster in need of youth and energy, especially if they decide to pivot toward a more long-term rebuild.

While nothing is finalized, the reported talks between the Warriors and Bulls suggest that both sides are open to reshaping their rosters — with Ayo Dosunmu and Jonathan Kuminga at the center of what could be a headline-making deal in the coming days.
