Dillon Brooks Makes Controversial Draymond Green Statement After Jimmy Butler Injury During Warriors-Rockets
Game 2 of their first round series against the Houston Rockets was a complete disaster for the Golden State Warriors.
Of course, the Warriors entered Game 2 looking to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the series before heading back to The Bay for Game 3 and 4.
Instead, the Warriors fell to the Rockets, who were able to tie up the series at a game apiece.

While the Warriors lost, the bigger storyline coming out of the game for the franchise was the injury suffered by their superstar forward Jimmy Butler.
Butler left the game late in the first quarter and never returned after suffering a hip injury when he took a hard fall during a rebound attempt.Amen Thompson of the Rockets appeared to undercut Butler on the rebound attempt, causing the veteran to take a scary fall which led to his injury.
After the play, many NBA fans took to social media to call for Thompson’s suspension and labeled him as a dirty player despite Warriors head coach Steve Kerr saying that it was a basketball play.
On Friday, Rockets forward Dillon Brooks was asked his thoughts about whether Thompson is a dirty player and he instead used the opportunity to take a shot at Draymond Green.
“I think the dirty player is Draymond giving him a little push,” Brooks said. “We hope Jimmy can get better.”
On the replay of Butler’s injury, it does appear that Green gives Thompson a little push as he was boxing out for the rebound, but overall it was just a basketball play.
Of course, Green has had his fair share of dirty plays over the years and Brooks thought it was a prime opportunity to take a shot at the veteran forward.
Despite this, the NBA took no action for either Thompson or Green and both sides will now look to regroup to take the lead in the series in Game 3 on Saturday, though the Warriors have listed Butler as questionable.
