The comment sparked a frenzy among Swifties, who believe she was referring to Donna Kelce, Travis’s mother. Moments later, Kelce jumps in with an explanation for his mom’s absence.

“She’s out working,” he says. “Have you seen Traitors?”

Kelce’s mention of the reality show wasn’t random. Donna Kelce is currently competing on The Traitors, the hit television series filmed in a Scottish castle, as confirmed earlier this month. Swift’s offhand praise and Travis’s quick defense of his mom’s hustle only added more weight to their strong family bond.

Since they went public last September, Swift and Donna have appeared together several times, including in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium for a Chiefs game. Their chemistry isn’t just for show. Travis Kelce co-founded Tight End University in 2021 with George Kittle and Greg Olsen. While Swift kept a low profile, Kittle stood nearby in the viral video clip.
