ALERT: Young Ukrainian Refugee’s Killer Just Escaped Prison!

In a chilling development that’s sending shockwaves across the country, Andrei Vasilev, the convicted murderer of 14-year-old Ukrainian refugee Lina Moroz, has escaped from prison in what authorities are calling a “highly coordinated and deliberate breakout.”

The escape occurred early this morning at Greybridge Maximum Security Facility, where Vasilev had been serving a life sentence without parole.

🔓 The Escape

According to the preliminary investigation, Vasilev managed to slip out of his cell during a routine cellblock lockdown at 2:47 AM. Surveillance footage — now under forensic review — shows him wearing guard attire, calmly walking through two secure checkpoints before vanishing from camera view.

By the time guards realized he was missing at 5:16 AM during roll call, he had already been gone for over two hours.

An emergency lockdown was issued at 5:22 AM, but by then, it was too late.

🛑 National Manhunt Underway

The FBI, U.S. Marshals, and Interpol are now involved in what’s being described as a multi-agency international manhunt.

Homeland Security issued a Level 4 alert, warning that Vasilev may attempt to flee the country — possibly back to Eastern Europe using fake documents.

“This man is extremely dangerous, highly intelligent, and willing to kill to avoid going back behind bars,” said FBI Special Agent Lauren Kim. “He must be considered armed and unpredictable.”

😨 Who Is Andrei Vasilev?

Vasilev, a former mercenary with suspected ties to paramilitary groups in Eastern Europe, was convicted in March 2024 for the brutal murder of 14-year-old Lina Moroz, a Ukrainian refugee who had fled the war in her homeland with her mother.

The case made international headlines — not only because of the heinous nature of the crime, but because Lina had become a symbol of hope and resilience for displaced children around the world. Her murder sparked global protests and a renewed call for tighter refugee protections.

😢 Family Devastated

Lina’s mother, Olena Moroz, released a brief statement through her attorney this morning:

“We are living our worst nightmare all over again. My daughter is gone. Now the man who took her from us is free. We ask for protection — and for justice.”

Public Urged to Stay Vigilant

Authorities are urging the public not to approach Vasilev if spotted, but to immediately call 911 or the FBI tip line. A $250,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his capture.

He is described as:

6’1″, 190 lbs

Brown eyes, shaved head, prison tattoos on both arms

Last seen wearing dark clothing and possibly carrying forged ID
