The Mafia Boss and the Hidden Secret
The Mafia Boss and the Hidden Secret
Ethan Parker was not a man who was easily surprised.
As the ruthless head of one of the most powerful mafia families in the city, he had faced betrayal, danger, and death countless times. But nothing could have prepared him for what he saw when he returned home unexpectedly that evening.
Ethan arrived three hours earlier than planned, holding a beautiful bouquet of red roses in his hands. The flowers were meant for Olivia Bennett—the woman he intended to marry. He had imagined her smile when she saw them, but that image disappeared the moment he stepped into the grand mansion.
He had barely walked past the main foyer when a little girl came running from the east corridor.
She was only six years old.
The girl wore a pink dress that was slightly torn, one of her shoes was missing, her hair was messy, and tears covered her frightened face. The moment she saw Ethan, she rushed toward him and hugged his waist tightly.
“Please… save my mom,” she cried.
Ethan froze.
.
.
.

He immediately recognized her.
Emily Carter—the daughter of Sophia Carter, one of the household staff.
His expression darkened.
“What happened?” he asked, kneeling down slightly.
Emily looked up at him with trembling eyes.
“That pretty lady hurt my mom.”
Ethan’s fingers tightened around the bouquet.
There was only one woman in this house whom Emily could possibly mean.
Olivia Bennett.
His fiancée.
“What did she do?” Ethan asked coldly.
Emily wiped her tears.
“She said if Mom told anyone, she would take her away. She said she could make Mom disappear forever.”
The words struck him like a bullet.
Slowly, the bouquet slipped from Ethan’s hand.
The roses fell onto the cold marble floor.
Red petals scattered everywhere.
“Where is your mother?” Ethan asked.
Emily pointed toward the hallway.
“Her room… Olivia’s private suite.”
Ethan looked at the frightened child.
“I promise you, Emily. I’ll bring your mother back.”
Then he stood up and walked toward the private wing of the mansion.
Every step became heavier.
The man who had never feared anyone suddenly felt a cold rage building inside him.
When he reached Olivia’s suite, he noticed the door was slightly open.
Before he could enter, he heard a woman’s frightened voice from inside.
“I won’t tell anyone. Please… just don’t touch Emily.”
Ethan stopped.
It was Sophia.
Olivia answered calmly, her voice filled with cruelty.
“Then stop pretending you have a choice.”
Sophia’s voice shook.
“I was only bringing the tea. That’s all.”
“You were listening.”
“No… I only overheard a phone call.”
A moment of silence followed.
Then Ethan heard the sharp sound of high heels walking across the floor.
Olivia spoke again.
“You are the help.”
Her voice was cold and arrogant.
“You clean the rooms. You wash the glasses. You serve the people in this house. You are not supposed to know the secrets hidden inside these walls.”
Sophia swallowed hard.
“But if what I heard is true… then Mr. Ethan is in danger.”
Ethan’s eyes narrowed.
Danger?
What had Sophia discovered?
Suddenly, a sharp sound echoed from inside the room.
Sophia gasped in fear.
Olivia lowered her voice.
“If you say a single word to Ethan about this, your daughter will become a problem that I personally take care of.”
Ethan’s hand slowly tightened around the door handle.
His fiancée.
The woman he trusted.
The woman he planned to marry.
Was threatening an innocent child?
A dangerous silence filled the hallway.
Then Ethan pushed the door open.
The room went completely still.
Sophia stood frozen, her face pale with fear.
Olivia turned around, her confident expression disappearing instantly when she saw the man standing at the entrance.
Ethan Parker.
The mafia boss who trusted no one.
The man who had just heard everything.
His eyes fell on Sophia, then on Olivia.
The roses were gone from his hands.
Only cold anger remained.
“Olivia,” Ethan said quietly.
But his calm voice was more terrifying than any scream.
“Tell me…”
He stepped into the room.
“What exactly were you planning to hide from me?”
For the first time, Olivia Bennett looked afraid.
