NFL star Stefon Diggs is ready to take on a new title — Dad of the Year.

After Cardi B revealed that she and Diggs are expecting their first child together, the New England Patriots wide receiver didn’t waste time showing his excitement publicly. Diggs left a series of heartfelt and playful comments on Cardi’s Instagram post on September 17, which announced her pregnancy and teased an upcoming album tour.

“100% team boy,” Diggs wrote, making his hopes clear. He also added, “Thinking of Spanish names right now,” giving fans a rare glimpse into the couple’s baby preparations.

This will be Diggs’ second child — he is already a father to his 8-year-old daughter, Nova, from a previous relationship. As for Cardi B, this baby will be her fourth. She shares three children — Kulture, Wave, and Blossom — with her estranged husband, rapper Offset.

The Grammy-winning artist broke the pregnancy news during a sit-down interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings. “I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” Cardi said, smiling.

When asked how she feels, Cardi responded with confidence and joy:

“I’m excited. I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful — that I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”
