MrBeast Files Trademark for Crypto Exchange and Payments Platform — “MrBeast Financial”
Updated: October 24, 2025 | 3 min read
James Stephen Donaldson, better known to millions as MrBeast, has filed a new trademark for MrBeast Financial — a planned app that could blend cryptocurrency exchange services with payment processing, digital banking, and even insurance offerings.
A Bold Move into FinTech

The filing, submitted earlier this week under Beast Holdings LLC, describes a downloadable platform that would provide users with access to cryptocurrency trading, investment banking, financial wellness tools, and microfinance lending services. It even includes provisions for “the financial exchange of cryptocurrency via decentralized exchanges (DEXs).”
If the YouTube superstar truly intends to launch a crypto or banking app under the MrBeast Financial brand, he’ll first need to navigate a complex regulatory path. That includes registration with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), acquiring state-level money transmitter licenses, and possibly securing approval from the SEC or CFTC depending on the platform’s structure.
As of now, no such regulatory filings have been made. Beast Holdings has not yet commented on the trademark or its potential launch timeline.
MrBeast’s Expanding Empire

MrBeast currently holds the crown as the most-subscribed individual creator on YouTube, boasting more than 446 million subscribers as of October 2025. Known for his headline-grabbing generosity and cinematic stunts — from recreating Squid Game to giving away a private island — Donaldson has turned his online fame into a growing business empire.
The MrBeast Financial filing joins an impressive portfolio of over 52 registered trademarks under his company, including MrBeast Burger, Feastables (MrBeast Bar), MrBeast Gaming, and MrBeast Philanthropy. Not all have evolved into full-fledged ventures, but the filings demonstrate his strategic approach to brand expansion and intellectual property protection.
Crypto and MrBeast: A Familiar Connection
Donaldson is no newcomer to the crypto space. Since 2021, he’s been spotted investing in blockchain startups and collecting digital art — at one point owning at least eight CryptoPunks. Analysts have even tracked wallets allegedly linked to him, noting transactions that once made millions in profit from early token sales.
While some critics have accused influencers of participating in speculative or “pump-and-dump” token schemes, there’s no official confirmation of any wrongdoing by MrBeast himself. His latest filing could instead signal a more legitimate, long-term commitment to the evolving fintech and blockchain industries.
Crypto Meets Mainstream

In recent months, several high-profile companies have also sought trademarks tied to digital assets. Ripple Labs filed for “Ripple Custody” earlier this year — a follow-up to its bank-grade crypto custody service launched in 2024. Meanwhile, JP Morgan surprised the market by registering “JPMD” for use in digital asset exchange and payment services, prompting speculation about a potential stablecoin project.
Whether MrBeast Financial will become a real crypto platform or remain another defensive trademark remains to be seen. But one thing’s certain — the YouTube megastar’s influence could bring a massive wave of mainstream attention to digital finance if he decides to move forward.
