Orlando Bloom Breaks His Silence on Katy Perry Split: “It’s Nothing But Love”
After months of speculation and headlines, Orlando Bloom is finally opening up about his split from pop superstar Katy Perry — and his message is one of gratitude, love, and unwavering commitment to family.
Appearing on the September 5th episode of NBC’s Today, the actor addressed the highly publicized breakup for the first time since news broke over two months ago that the couple had called off their engagement.
When host Craig Melvin brought up the topic, Bloom responded with heartfelt clarity:
“I’m great, man. I’m so grateful. We have the most beautiful daughter. We’re… like… you know, when you leave everything on the field, like I did in this movie, I feel grateful for all of it. And we’re great. We’re going to be great. It’s nothing but love.”
A Love That Evolves
Orlando and Katy — who share a 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove — ended their engagement quietly after months of navigating a shift in their relationship. But according to both the actor and their reps, the love between them hasn’t disappeared; it has simply transformed.
Back on July 3, a spokesperson for the couple told E! News:
“Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is and always will be raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”
Family First
This isn’t Orlando’s first experience with co-parenting. He also shares a son, Flynn, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, and has long been vocal about the importance of maintaining peaceful, positive relationships for the sake of the children involved.
Now, with Daisy, both he and Katy seem committed to the same principles. Their recent appearances together, even post-split, suggest a partnership built on communication, trust, and above all, shared purpose.
Moving Forward with Grace
Orlando’s calm, grateful tone is a refreshing break from the usual drama that often surrounds celebrity breakups. Rather than bitterness or blame, he emphasizes growth, gratitude, and hope.
“We’re great. We’re going to be great. It’s nothing but love,” he reiterated — a phrase that perfectly encapsulates the maturity and care both stars are bringing into their next chapter.
In a world where breakups often end in chaos, Orlando and Katy are proving that love doesn’t always have to end — sometimes, it just changes shape.
