How ‘Wicked: For Good’s’ Young Glinda Reacted to Meeting Ariana Grande

For rising star Scarlet, landing the role of young Glinda in Wicked: For Good was nothing short of a fairytale. The young actress still remembers the moment she got the life-changing call.

“One day I got a call from my manager and my agent saying I got it, and I couldn’t believe it,” she recalled. “Me and my mom were like, what?! I started crying. I told my grandma, and she was so happy for me. It was like a dream come true.”

Scarlet, already known to General Hospital fans as Donna — the daughter of mob boss Sonny Corinthos — has been praised for her maturity, talent, and heartfelt performances ever since joining the soap in 2022.

Her work in Wicked: For Good has earned her major recognition, most notably from Ariana Grande, who plays grown Glinda in the new Wicked films. Ariana shared her admiration on Instagram, writing:

“Thank you for your beautiful work and for allowing the world to understand our Galinda more deeply than ever before.”

Scarlet said seeing the message made her burst into tears.

“It was so exciting to see someone like her say that,” she said. “I was just so happy. I started crying. I couldn’t be happier.”

Meeting Ariana For the First Time

The magic didn’t end there. Scarlet described the emotional moment she met Ariana in person — a moment she didn’t know was coming.

“I didn’t know I was meeting her,” she said. “I was in all my costumes, and I saw this pink, poofy dress behind a man. Then she came out. She was so nice and so kind and beautiful.”

A Surprise at Universal Studios Hollywood

While visiting Universal Studios Hollywood, Scarlet thought she was simply taking photos — but the surprises continued.

Suddenly, a full-costumed Glinda performer stepped out.

“You look fabulosious! You look glindified!” she said, giving Scarlet a big hug.

Then came the next surprise:

“Would you like to meet my bestie, Elfie?”

Moments later, Elphaba swept in, broom in hand, greeting Scarlet with the signature Oz charm.

“We’ve heard all through Oz that you were going to be here today,” she said.

Together, they performed the iconic “toss toss” — Glinda’s signature hair flip.

“One, two, three — toss, toss!”

Scarlet laughed, admitting she was “still learning how to toss-toss,” but joined in perfectly.

By the end of the surprise, she was glowing.

“I’m speechless,” she said. “I’ve always wanted to meet Glinda and Elphaba.”
