Diddy Trial: Cassie Ventura Delivers Harrowing Testimony About “Freak Offs” and Control — Part Two

In a dramatic turn in the ongoing federal trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs, singer and former girlfriend Cassie Ventura returned to the witness stand for a second day, offering detailed and disturbing testimony about her life with the hip-hop mogul. Her statements painted a picture of manipulation, coercion, and a pattern of sexual exploitation that prosecutors allege is central to the government’s case.

Music Career Stifled

Ventura, who dated Combs for years, began her testimony by describing how her promising music career was derailed during their relationship. She revealed that, despite recording hundreds of songs, most never saw release. “If albums are not released, you don’t get paid,” she testified, adding that the lack of new music stifled her career and left her financially dependent on Combs.

Asked why she didn’t release more music, Ventura said her focus was elsewhere: “The freak offs became a job where there was no space to do anything else but to recover and just try to feel normal again.” She described “freak offs” as multi-day parties involving drugs, alcohol, and sex with strangers, all orchestrated by Combs.

The “Freak Offs”: Control, Drugs, and Coercion

Ventura detailed how these events, which she said could last up to four days, left her physically and emotionally depleted. She described being pressured to participate, often against her will, and said Combs dictated every aspect of her appearance and preparation for these encounters — from her nails and hair to her clothing and even body piercings.

“He choreographed everything,” Ventura told the court, explaining that Combs decided what she wore, how she looked, and who participated in the events. She said she was often given ecstasy, molly, and later cocaine, all supplied by Combs, to keep her awake and compliant.

Allegations of Violence and Psychological Manipulation

Ventura testified that she agreed to participate in “freak offs” out of fear of Combs’ anger and violence. “His look would just change over. He would become a different person,” she said, describing his “black eyes” and unpredictable moods.

She recounted that Combs would frequently make demeaning comments about her appearance, set strict rules about her hair, nails, and body, and would punish her by taking away possessions or access to her own home. She also described efforts to hide her identity during these encounters, wearing wigs and masks at Combs’ direction.

Logistics and Staff Involvement

The testimony revealed a detailed logistical operation behind the “freak offs.” Ventura said Combs’ staff — including assistants and security — would book hotel rooms, stock supplies like baby oil, lubricants, and candles, and sometimes even restock these items mid-event. According to Ventura, Combs required everything from heated baby oil to specific lighting and music.

She also described the use of aliases and fake names for hotel reservations, and said that the events took place across multiple cities and countries, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, and even Spain and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Emotional Toll and Aftermath

Ventura admitted she did not want to participate in many of the “freak offs,” but felt powerless to refuse. “I just felt like it was all I was good for to him,” she said, breaking down as she described the humiliation and isolation she experienced. “I felt disgusting…I couldn’t talk to anybody about it.”

She also provided evidence of her attempts to communicate with Combs about her discomfort, including emails where she tried to gently express her feelings, only to be dismissed or manipulated.

Evidence and Cross-Examination

Prosecutors presented emails and photographs to corroborate Ventura’s testimony, including images of Combs with cash in hotel rooms and messages discussing the setup of these encounters. Ventura identified members of Combs’ staff and described their roles in facilitating the events.

The defense is expected to challenge Ventura’s credibility and motivations when cross-examination resumes.

What’s Next

As the trial continues, Ventura’s testimony is expected to play a central role in the prosecution’s effort to establish a pattern of abuse, coercion, and sex trafficking. The court will hear from additional witnesses in the coming days, as the nation watches one of the music industry’s most powerful figures face explosive allegations.
