As the holiday season approached, excitement filled the air. Jason, a beloved actor known for his charm and humor, was preparing for the release of his latest movie, which was set to premiere just before Thanksgiving. The anticipation was palpable, not just for the film, but for the family traditions that Jason cherished deeply.

On a bright morning, Jason stood in front of a crowd, his infectious smile lighting up the room. “Here he comes, everyone! How you doing? Good to see you again!” he greeted, his voice warm and inviting. He took a moment to soak in the atmosphere, feeling grateful for the support of his fans. “You smell like raw masculine power!” he joked, referencing a line from his movie, eliciting laughter from the audience.

As the conversation shifted to gratitude, Jason reflected on what truly mattered to him. “Oh my God, my family and my children,” he said, his eyes sparkling with love. He called out to his daughter, who rushed over, her face beaming with joy. “My little lovey!” he exclaimed, pulling her into a warm embrace. “And my son, the wild animal, is around here somewhere,” he added, chuckling at the thought of his energetic boy.

The holiday season was a time for family traditions, and Jason shared his favorite activities. “We love watching movies, eating lots of food, and spending time in nature,” he said. “Rock climbing is a big one for us too! We always go on adventures and road trips together.” The thought of camping under the stars with his children filled him with excitement. “We get to go wild and explore the world together,” he said, his voice filled with enthusiasm.

As the interview continued, Jason’s daughter chimed in, sharing her own experiences on set. “We were there for most of the time while Dad was filming,” she said proudly. “I even choreographed a dance routine to Dua Lipa’s ‘Don’t Start Now’ with my friends, and Dad loved it so much that he put it in the movie!” Her eyes sparkled with pride as she spoke about her passion for dance, and Jason beamed with admiration for his daughter’s creativity.

The conversation then turned to Jason’s aspirations as an actor. He was asked about his dream collaborators, and he didn’t hesitate. “Julian Schnabel is here, and he’s like a dad to me. I can’t wait to work with him,” he said, his voice filled with respect. “And Benicio del Toro is an idol of mine. I would love to work with him someday.” His admiration for his peers was evident, showcasing his humility and dedication to his craft.

As the interview wrapped up, Jason’s playful side emerged. “You all saw my birthday suit and my piglet on Instagram,” he teased, prompting laughter from the crowd. “I just like to put it out there; it’s who I am!” He acknowledged the playful banter about his personality, revealing a more serious side beneath the humor. “I’m actually quite different from what people think. I had an amazing time doing ‘Flip’ because it was so much like me, except for my babies,” he said, his love for his family shining through.

As Thanksgiving approached, Jason looked forward to spending quality time with his family. They planned to gather around the table, sharing stories and laughter, creating memories that would last a lifetime. The holiday was not just about the food or the festivities; it was about the love and connection they shared as a family.

On Thanksgiving Day, the aroma of roasted turkey and pumpkin pie filled the air as Jason and his family gathered around the table. They shared their gratitude, each taking a moment to express what they were thankful for. Jason’s heart swelled with pride as he listened to his children share their dreams and aspirations, knowing that he was nurturing their passions.

After the meal, they ventured outdoors, embracing the beauty of nature. They went rock climbing, laughter echoing through the trees as they encouraged one another to reach new heights. The day was filled with adventure, love, and the joy of being together.

As the sun set, casting a warm glow over the horizon, Jason reflected on the day. He felt grateful for the simple moments that brought his family closer. The laughter, the shared experiences, and the love they had for one another were the true treasures of the holiday season.

In that moment, surrounded by his family, Jason realized that no matter where his career took him, the most important role he would ever play was that of a loving father and husband. And as they gathered around the fire, sharing stories and dreams, he knew that this Thanksgiving would be one they would cherish forever.

The warmth of the fire crackled against the cool night air as Jason’s children huddled close. His daughter, still bubbling with excitement from her dance being featured in his movie, mimicked the choreography beneath the soft glow of the moonlight, giggling as her brother clumsily tried to copy her moves.

Jason leaned back on a log, his gaze soft with contentment. For all the chaos and excitement of his career, these were the moments he treasured most. Being surrounded by his family in the wilderness, sharing laughter and stories, reminded him of what grounded him: the simple joys and bonds that no spotlight or applause could replicate.

Later, as the stars sparkled above and the night deepened, Jason gathered his family for one last tradition before they retired for the evening. He reached into his backpack and pulled out a well-worn book of stories. “Every year, we read this,” he explained. “It’s a little way to carry the season’s spirit with us, wherever we are.”

His son settled beside him, quieter now after the day’s adventure, while his daughter nestled close, eyes wide with anticipation. The stories that unfolded were tales of bravery, kindness, and adventure—echoes of values Jason hoped to instill in them. His voice carried gently through the still night, weaving a tapestry of dreams and lessons.

As the final page was turned, Jason looked at the faces illuminated by the flickering fire. “I’m thankful for all of you,” he said, “for the laughter, the chaos, the wildness, and the quiet moments. You make everything worth it.”

His daughter smiled up at him, whispering, “I love you, Dad.”

“I love you too, baby,” Jason replied, feeling a profound gratitude he could never fully express in words. The future was unpredictable, full of uncertain paths, but here in this moment, surrounded by love, he found his greatest strength.

With the embers glowing low, they gathered their things and retreated to their tents, ready to rest after the perfect day. As Jason lay beneath the canopy of stars, he knew this Thanksgiving wasn’t just about the movie release or the public’s praise—it was a celebration of the unbreakable bond he shared with his family, and the memories they would continue to build together, year after year, adventure after adventure.

Jason Momoa Hopes Environmental Documentary Common Ground Will Empower His Kids: “This Is What I’m Fighting For”

Jason Momoa, known for his commanding screen presence in Aquaman and Game of Thrones, is stepping out of the ocean and into the soil — quite literally. The 44-year-old actor is using his voice to amplify a cause close to his heart: regenerative agriculture and environmental sustainability. But for Momoa, this mission goes far beyond Hollywood headlines. It’s personal — it’s about his children.

At the Los Angeles premiere of Common Ground, a new environmental documentary highlighting the urgent need for eco-conscious and sustainable farming practices, Momoa opened up to PEOPLE about how fatherhood fuels his passion for activism.

“I feel like I’m shoving it down their throats sometimes,” he said, referring to his two children — son Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo, 15, and daughter Lola Iolani, 16 — whom he shares with his ex-wife, actress Lisa Bonet. “I took the film to their school, and we screened it there. It was fun seeing all their friends watching it. Deep down, though, I wish they could take it to the next level.”

While Momoa’s massive stature and warrior-like roles may intimidate on screen, off-screen he’s a soft-spoken dad hoping to empower the next generation — not with weapons, but with knowledge.

“I want the next generation to embrace this more deeply,” he said. “And some are. Some kids really are. But you’ve just got to move toward what feels right. That’s what fuels me — this is what I’m fighting for.”

A Father, A Fighter

Momoa’s dedication to his children isn’t limited to the environment. In a 2023 interview with Men’s Health — in which he graced the May/June cover — the Fast X actor spoke candidly about how he instills resilience and humility in his kids, using the sport of rock climbing as a shared passion and teaching tool.

“Nothing worth doing is easy, and it shouldn’t be. Falling is okay. That’s what I’m trying to teach them right now,” he said. “They want to be perfect, and they’re afraid. They think falling means failure. But I’m like, ‘No. Falling is awesome, man. Because you’re going to succeed if you keep getting back up.’”

Though he has years of acting experience under his belt, Momoa says he’ll never teach acting. “But what I can teach is climbing,” he added. “It creates this huge bond between us. We go outside and do it together — that’s the best thing for me.”

Leading By Example

It’s clear that for Momoa, parenting is about presence, participation, and purpose. That sense of intentional living also applies to his role as a stepfather to Zoë Kravitz, Bonet’s daughter with musician Lenny Kravitz. Despite his recent separation from Bonet, Momoa has remained a vocal supporter of Zoë.

In March 2022, weeks after announcing the split, Momoa appeared at the New York City premiere of The Batman to support Zoë — even bringing her younger siblings, Lola and Nakoa-Wolf, to the event.

“She’s a phenomenal role model for Lola,” Momoa previously told Men’s Health in December 2020. “I hope and pray my daughter can grow up to be as talented, kind, open, and grounded in family as Zoë.”

A Legacy of Action

The actor’s dedication to sustainability isn’t just a personal crusade — it’s a lifelong commitment. Beyond Common Ground, Momoa has long advocated for ocean conservation, plastic reduction, and environmental justice, even launching his own line of eco-friendly water in recyclable aluminum bottles.

Now, with Common Ground, he hopes to amplify the message of soil regeneration and ethical farming practices on a global scale — not just to policymakers or farmers, but to everyday families like his own.

Momoa knows the message might not always land, especially with teenagers. But that won’t stop him from trying.

“They might roll their eyes sometimes, but I’ll keep showing up. I’ll keep fighting,” he said. “Because if I don’t do it for them — for their future — then what’s the point?”
