Authorities have confirmed that a decomposed body discovered inside a Tesla owned by rising singer D4vd has been identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who had been reported missing from Lake Elsinore, California.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) told NBC News that the body, which was found last week at a Los Angeles tow yard, was confirmed through forensic testing. Workers at the yard alerted police after noticing a foul odor emanating from the vehicle.

Cause of Death Pending

Officials noted that Rivas had likely been deceased inside the vehicle for an extended period. However, the exact cause of death remains under investigation.

“At this time, the LAPD does not have a crime classification from the coroner as to the mode or manner of death,” the department stated. “Thus, we do not have any suspect information.”
