TOURISTS IN PANIC: We encountered an UNKNOWN CREATURE in the Mountains

🌲 The Silent Sentinels: Three Encounters with an Unknown Intelligence

These stories surprise even the most skeptical individuals. Three independent testimonies from different states. Three encounters with a being that, according to official science, should not exist. Today, I will tell you what has happened in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest and the Rocky Mountains over the past five years. Prepare to hear facts that will make you reconsider who truly inhabits our forests.

1️⃣ The Olympic National Park Dialogues (Washington, February 2021)

The first story took place in Olympic National Park in Washington State, in the Dosewallips area. A group of four tourists embarked on a three-day trek on snow-covered trails in February 2021. The group included local guide Mark Thompson, who had 12 years of experience in the area, two tourists from Seattle, and a nature photographer from Portland.

On the morning of the second day, climbing the main trail at an elevation of approximately 1,000 meters, they noticed unusual tracks in the fresh snow, which had fallen the night before to a depth of about 30 cm. The tracks were completely recent, their edges sharp.

What they saw resembled nothing known. The prints were enormous, about 45 cm (18 inches) long and 18 cm (7 inches) wide. The shape was similar to a human foot, but much larger, with long, clearly defined toes. Most strangely, the tracks followed a straight line through the forest, neither swerving around obstacles nor following the established path.

The guide, Thompson, immediately recognized that they were not bear tracks. Bears have a different paw shape and do not walk exclusively on their hind limbs for such long distances. Furthermore, February is the hibernation period for local bears. The tracks also obviously did not belong to elk or deer. They were clearly the prints of a bipedal being.

The group decided to follow the tracks. They led deep into the woods, deviating from the trail at about a 30-degree angle to the northeast. What was odd was that the being that left the prints did not sink into the snow as much as one would expect, given the size of its feet and estimated weight. The prints were only 10 to 12 cm deep, while the group members sank up to their knees.

About 400 meters along the trail, they heard the first sounds. It was a rhythmic wood knock, as if someone were striking a tree trunk with a heavy stick. The sounds came from the right, about 100 meters away. Thompson immediately stopped the group. The forest fell silent. Even the birds stopped chirping.

After a few minutes, the knocks resumed, but now they came from the left, about the same distance away. The rhythm was virtually identical: three short knocks, a pause, two long knocks, and another pause. It gave the distinct impression that someone was replying to the initial sounds—a kind of dialogue.

The photographer quickly raised his camera. In the viewfinder, he noticed a movement among the trees to the left. Something large and dark was moving parallel to their route, maintaining a distance of about 80 meters. When he tried to focus, the movement ceased.

At that moment, the wind shifted, and a strong odor enveloped the group. It was the smell of wet wool, but far more intense, mixed with a musky, almost acrid scent, reminiscent of a zoo near the great ape enclosures, only much stronger.

Thompson turned to the group and said quietly but clearly, “Let’s get back to the trail. Fast, but no panic. And nobody look back.” There was no fear in his voice, but the absolute certainty of someone who understood the gravity of the situation.

On the way back, they heard branches snapping behind them. The sounds were too loud for ordinary forest animals. Once they reached the main trail, the forest went silent again.

No official report was filed. The park administration discourages such news as it negatively affects tourism. However, the photographer captured several photos of the footprints and a short video with the knocking sound in the background. These materials were not released online until several months later.

2️⃣ The Wood Knocking Dialogue (Montana, September 2022)

The second story occurred in the Bitterroot Mountains in Montana in September 2022. A group of three experienced hunters from Hamilton camped in the Lost Trail Pass area, at an altitude of 2,000 meters. The camp was set up in a small valley surrounded by dense coniferous forest, chosen for its spring water and natural wind protection.

The first night was quiet. The next day, they observed strange damage to the trees about 200 meters from the camp. Several young fir trees were bent at a sharp angle, clearly by force, not by wind. The damage was about 3 meters (10 feet) high. The branches were bent, not broken, requiring a different kind of effort. Jim Carter, the most experienced hunter, initially assumed it was a large bear marking its territory, but the absence of claw marks and the excessive height of the marks puzzled them.

On the second night, around 11 p.m., after they had settled down, what they later called “the forest conversations” began.

First, rhythmic knocks were heard from the right, deep in the forest. The sound was dull, like a thick stick hitting a large tree trunk. The pattern was clear: three short knocks, a five-second pause, two long knocks, a long pause, and then the sequence repeated. This continued for about ten minutes, then stopped.

Approximately twenty minutes later, a reply came from the opposite side of the valley. The rhythm was the same, but the sound was slightly different, more resonant, as if a different type of tree was used. It gave the clear impression of a dialogue between two invisible participants.

The hunters lay motionless in their tents. None of the local animals behave this way. The wood knocking dialogue lasted about an hour. The sounds ceased at 1 a.m., but none of the hunters could sleep until dawn.

In the morning, they inspected the source of the knocks. On the right, 150 meters from the camp, they found an old fir tree with a series of recent deep indentations on the trunk. The blows had been struck with such force that the bark had partially peeled off. The marks were about 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) high. Lying nearby were the remains of a thick, dry branch, clearly the object used to deliver the blows. To snap it required considerable force.

On the left side, where the replies came from, the scene was similar. But here, they found something more. On the lower branches of a fir next to the marked tree hung tufts of long, dark brown hair. The hair was coarse, almost like horsehair, but much thicker. Some hairs reached 15 cm (6 inches) in length and hung about 4 meters (13 feet) off the ground, suggesting a very tall being had brushed against the branches.

Carter collected several hair samples. Analysis later showed the hair did not belong to any known animal in the region. The structure was similar to primate hair, but the thickness and stiffness were inconsistent with any North American species. The hunters broke camp that same day. They felt the forest atmosphere had changed; it had become too silent, as if the local fauna was actively avoiding the area.

3️⃣ The Mountain Observer (Colorado, July 2023)

The third story took place in Colorado, in the Mount Bierstadt area, the highest point in the state. It happened in July 2023 with a group of four mountain climbers from Denver. They were on a standard two-day ascent route.

On the second morning, around 9 a.m., climbing the east slope at an altitude of about 4,000 meters, an incident occurred that none of them could explain.

The photographer was the first to notice something strange on the opposite slope of the valley. He stopped and pulled out his binoculars. What he saw made him call the others. On the slope of Mount Cup, about 2 km from their position, was a figure. Even at that distance, it was clear it was not human. The figure was massive, estimated by the climbers to be at least 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) tall, with disproportionately broad shoulders and long arms. The entire body was covered in dark hair or fur.

Most strangely, the being was completely motionless, like a statue, appearing to be observing the climbing group.

The photographer began taking pictures with a telephoto lens at maximum zoom. In the viewfinder, the figure appeared even more imposing. The body proportions were not human: overly long arms, a massive torso, and a head seemingly set directly on the shoulders with no visible neck.

The creature stood on a slope angled at about 45 degrees. For a human, maintaining balance in that position on rocky terrain would be extremely difficult, but the figure appeared absolutely stable.

The observation lasted about a minute and a half. Then, the creature slowly bent forward without bending its knees, as if making a bow. The angle of the lean was such that any person would have simply fallen down the slope.

Afterwards, the figure straightened up and began climbing the slope. The movements were fluid, seemingly effortless. The creature ascended the practically vertical rock face as if it were flat ground. The speed was breathtaking; it covered a distance in a few seconds that would have taken a climber several minutes. Upon reaching the summit, the figure paused, turned back toward the group, and then vanished.

The entire episode lasted less than three minutes, but it left an indelible impression. The group continued their ascent, but the atmosphere had changed. They constantly looked back, feeling observed.

The instructor, Michael Stone, with 20 years of experience, later confessed he had never felt such a profound sense of being watched. They did not linger on the summit, descending quickly. On the way down, they periodically noticed movement on neighboring slopes—something large moving parallel to their route, maintaining a distance of several hundred meters. When they tried to get a closer look, the movement ceased.

At the base camp, they found strange footprints around the tents. The prints, though partially wind-blown, resembled what the tourists had seen in Olympic, only larger—about 50 cm (20 inches) long. The tracks circled the camp, as if someone had been studying the tents.

The most disturbing discovery was near the food cache. The metal container was open, but undamaged. The lock was intact. The lid had been carefully removed. Only the meat was missing—several cans of corned beef and dried jerky. The rest of the food was untouched. Stone noted that no animal he knew of behaves this way; bears tear containers apart. Here, everything suggested an intelligent subject that knew exactly what it was looking for.

🧐 Conclusion: The Last Primate Line

The photos from Mount Bierstadt sparked considerable interest online. A detailed analysis by Professor David Myers of the University of Colorado suggested the being’s height ranged from 2.40 cm to 2.70 cm (7.9 to 8.9 feet). He emphasized the climbing style on the steep slope (an angle of about 47 degrees), noting that such speed of ascent would be physically impossible for a human without special equipment.

These three stories share several common factors:

    Location: Remote, mountainous, high-altitude areas.

Behavior: The unusual silence of local wildlife, suggesting evasion.

Intelligence: The being demonstrated clear signs of intelligent behavior (wood knocking, selective food theft, calculated observation).

Non-Aggression: The creature consistently avoided direct contact, preferring to observe from a distance, a behavior that sharply contrasts with known large predators.

Local indigenous tribes—the Lummi in Washington, the Salish in Montana, and the Ute in Colorado—all have ancient legends of “forest giants,” described as intelligent beings who avoid human contact and only appear when their territory is threatened.

Modern researchers suggest a correlation between the increase in sightings and the expansion of human activity into mountainous areas. It is possible that growing human presence is forcing these creatures out of their usual habitats, leading to chance encounters.

The scientific community remains skeptical, demanding more conclusive proof. However, the quantity of independent testimonies from different regions is compelling. It is possible that an unknown species of large primate, the last representative of an ancient lineage, truly inhabits the remote mountainous regions of North America, surviving in isolation.

For now, these creatures remain a mystery. But one thing is certain: the forests and mountains hold more secrets than we usually think. And perhaps, we are not alone in this world.
