The Bond Between Luke and Robert

While Tristan Rogers continued to grace the GH screen as Robert Scorpio since his return in 2012, Anthony Geary has kept a low profile since his brief comeback as Luke Spencer in 2017. The Daytime Emmy winner now enjoys a peaceful life in Amsterdam with his husband, far removed from the spotlight and rarely granting interviews.

But the news of Rogers’ death on August 15, after his courageous battle with lung cancer, moved Geary to share his memories with TV Insider.

“I was deeply saddened by Tristan’s passing. I have so many wonderful memories of him, and those will stay with me forever. Tristan was a talented, generous actor and always a joy to work with,” Geary reflected.

He went on to describe the unique partnership they shared during their decades on set.

“No matter what the script called for, Tristan and I were determined to make it work. We didn’t always stick to the exact words, but we never questioned the essence of Luke and Robert’s relationship. It was a classic dynamic—two lovable rogues who knew each other’s flaws, yet still managed to remain friends.”

A Lasting Legacy

Geary closed his tribute with touching words that capture the spirit of their friendship.

“It’s been a long time since Tristan and I worked together, but in some ways, it feels like just yesterday. Tristan was truly one of a kind. To me, he’ll always be more than Robert Scorpio—he was Tristan Rogers, the bigger character of the two. That’s the memory I’ll always cherish.”
