‘Devil’ Diddy Dangled Woman Over 17-Story Balcony — Shocking Testimony Rocks Sex Crimes Trial

The sex crimes trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs took a harrowing turn this week as jurors heard explosive testimony from a close friend of Cassie Ventura, describing an incident where Combs allegedly dangled her over the edge of a 17-story balcony while screaming, “You know what the [expletive] you did!” The witness, Briana “Bana” Mongolian, also recounted threats to her life and a pattern of violence and intimidation that prosecutors say underpins a criminal sex trafficking enterprise.

A Terrifying Balcony Incident

Bana, a longtime friend and confidante of Cassie Ventura, testified that in September 2016, while visiting Cassie’s Los Angeles apartment, she was confronted by a furious Diddy. According to Bana, after she tried to calm herself by smoking a blunt on the balcony, Diddy burst in, grabbed her by the armpits, and lifted her over the balcony’s waist-high railing. “My feet were on the rail and I was trying to push myself back,” she said, describing the terrifying seconds when she feared for her life. Diddy, she testified, screamed repeatedly, “You know what the [expletive] you did!” before throwing her onto patio furniture.

Bana showed jurors photos of severe bruising on her back and legs, taken the same day as the incident, and recalled visiting a chiropractor in pain but refusing to identify her attacker out of fear. “I was freaked out and I just paid, took the neck brace, and left,” she told the court.

‘I’m the Devil. I Can Kill You’

The witness also described a separate 2016 incident in Malibu, during which Diddy allegedly told her, “I’m the devil. I can kill you.” Bana, her voice shaking, admitted she had been using drugs at the time but said the threat was seared into her memory. “I brushed it off because I had confidence from the cocaine,” she said, but the fear lingered.

A Pattern of Abuse, Drugs, and Intimidation

Bana’s testimony painted a picture of a toxic environment fueled by drugs, violence, and fear. She admitted to regular drug use with Cassie and said she sometimes procured drugs for both Cassie and Diddy, including ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine, and GHB. Bana testified that she was granted immunity to testify, acknowledging her own legal jeopardy due to drug involvement.

She also described other violent episodes, including witnessing Diddy throw a knife at Cassie and seeing Cassie with a black eye after a separate altercation. Photos shown in court illustrated the close friendship between Bana and Cassie, as well as the extent of injuries suffered.

Digital Evidence and the 2016 Hotel Video

Earlier in the day, forensic video expert Frank Piaza authenticated key digital evidence, including the infamous 2016 Intercontinental Hotel surveillance video that shows Diddy attacking Cassie. Piaza confirmed that the footage, including multiple camera angles and cell phone recordings, had not been manipulated and accurately depicted the events as they occurred. Despite defense arguments about time stamp discrepancies, Piaza explained these were typical of motion-activated security systems and did not affect the video’s authenticity.

Cross-Examination and Defense Strategy

On cross-examination, Diddy’s defense team aggressively challenged Bana’s credibility, highlighting inconsistencies between her testimony, her civil complaint, and Cassie’s lawsuit. Defense attorney Nicole West Morland pressed Bana on details of the balcony incident, her recollection of events, and the timing of her disclosures to both the government and her own lawyers. Bana frequently responded, “I don’t remember,” as the defense sought to cast doubt on her account and suggest she may have been influenced by drugs or by conversations with Cassie.

The defense also questioned Bana about her $10 million lawsuit against Diddy and implied that her allegations may have been coordinated with Cassie or motivated by financial gain. Bana insisted her primary goal was justice, not money, and said she would return any damages if the incident had never happened.

Implications for the Prosecution

Legal analysts say Bana’s testimony is crucial for the prosecution’s racketeering case, as it corroborates Cassie Ventura’s allegations, establishes a pattern of violence and intimidation against women, and supports underlying drug offenses. The government’s narrative is that Diddy used his wealth, influence, and a network of assistants and bodyguards to further a criminal enterprise built on sex trafficking and abuse.

What’s Next

Bana’s cross-examination will continue, with another key witness—known as “Jane Doe”—expected to take the stand soon. As the trial progresses, the jury will be tasked with weighing complex, often conflicting, testimony against a backdrop of shocking digital and photographic evidence.

The trial is expected to last several more weeks, with the world watching to see whether the prosecution’s narrative of Diddy as a violent crime boss will stand up to the defense’s efforts to discredit his accusers.
