Los Angeles, CA — In a raw and emotional sit-down, Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Nepola opened up about the collapse of her marriage to Todd Nepola, revealing the painful journey of betrayal, self-discovery, and ultimate freedom.
From the moment she walked into the studio, Alexia carried both her trademark Miami fire and the weight of a woman who had survived one of the hardest chapters of her life.
Choosing Self Over Chaos
“I was ready to walk away,” Alexia confessed. “I just couldn’t deal with the emotional chaos anymore. I gave it my all — things I would’ve never done for anyone, I did for him. But at some point, I had to choose me.”
Tearing up, she admitted that in her darkest moments, she saw her husband not as a partner, but as something far darker: “At one point, I saw him as the devil.”
What viewers witnessed on TV mirrored her real life: highs and lows, days of passion followed by silence, a love that turned volatile.
Living the Pain on Camera
For Alexia, the hardest part was that her unraveling marriage became a storyline. “People said I was doing it for the show. Are you serious? Who would want this as a storyline? It was horrific and painful. He handed me the storyline. I didn’t want it.”
Despite the turmoil, Alexia says she held back from fully exposing Todd. “I wasn’t here to bash him. I loved him. I still wish him well. But his actions… that was on him. He left in front of my son. He blindsided me.”
A New Chapter: Zero Contact
Now, Alexia says she’s finally found peace — thanks to a strict no-contact rule.
“It’s been almost 80 days. No calls, no texts, no social media. At first, it was like detoxing from a drug. A trauma bond. But now, I feel free. I feel good.”
She admits it hasn’t been easy. “Even hearing his voice in a video used to trigger me. I couldn’t watch. Couldn’t listen. But now, I’ve realized — it wasn’t me. It was never me. He wasn’t happy with himself.”
Finding Power in Vulnerability
Through the tears, Alexia also acknowledged the strength she’s gained. “I’ve questioned my worth. I’ve questioned everything. But now, I know: I deserve better. And that’s the message I want women to take away. If I can get through this, they can too.”
As she prepares for another season of The Real Housewives of Miami, Alexia says she’s ready to leave the heartbreak behind. “Next season, I just want to fight with the girls over nonsense — not my personal life. I’m done with the pain.”
Her voice cracked, but her eyes shone with defiance: “I finally chose myself. And I’m proud.”
