Jessica Simpson’s youngest daughter is proving that style — and star power — definitely run in the family.

On October 9, the singer and fashion mogul shared a series of adorable Instagram photos of her 6-year-old daughter Birdie, who had dressed up as her famous mom for Spirit Week at school.

In the post’s caption, Jessica explained that Birdie’s school had asked students to dress as their favorite artist — and of course, Birdie picked her mom.

Wearing sparkly cowgirl boots, plenty of bling, and a T-shirt featuring Jessica’s face, Birdie looked every bit the pop star. The photo shoot even appeared to take place in a studio setup, where Birdie seemed ready to belt out a few of her mom’s signature high notes.

“Mini-me energy at its finest,” Jessica captioned with a heart emoji.

Jessica shares Birdie with her estranged husband, Eric Johnson, along with their two older children — Maxwell, 13, and Ace, 12. The couple, who were married for a decade, announced their split in early 2025, but remain focused on co-parenting their three kids.

A Superstar Example to Follow

Though Birdie might only be pretending to be a pop star for now, her mom is giving her plenty of real-life inspiration.

Back in May, Jessica made her long-awaited return to the stage during the American Idol season finale, marking her first live TV performance in 15 years.

“My kids were back at home FaceTiming me,” Jessica told Access Hollywood after the show. “They’ve never seen me perform on live TV, so it was a big moment. Idol gave me that. It was a dream.”

From iconic boots to heartfelt ballads, it’s clear that Birdie has inherited not just her mom’s sense of style — but her spirit, too.
