On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, viewers witnessed a showdown unlike anything before: John Cena and Jimmy Fallon went head-to-head in a brand-new game called “Fish Slap.”

The rules were as bizarre as they were simple: each player flips a card and guesses whether the next card will be higher or lower. If you’re wrong—you get slapped in the face with a fresh fish straight from the bucket. If the cards match, both players must deliver a double fish slap at the same time—something Fallon joked would “break the Internet.”

Right from the first round, Cena’s luck shone through as he guessed correctly on Fallon’s seven. No slap yet, but tension was building. The next turn, Fallon wasn’t so lucky—earning the first cold, slimy smack from Cena. The audience erupted as Fallon’s face turned red and the smell of fish filled the studio.

As the game went on, things only got more outrageous. Fallon fought to even the score, but Cena stayed calm and ruthless, even declaring: “In the name of salmon and mackerel, the day is mine.” The final blow came when Cena landed the deciding fish slap—Fallon’s cheeks wobbling in slow motion on the replay to the audience’s delight.

The result: John Cena officially became the first-ever “Fish Slap” champion, crowned in laughter and applause. Fallon, though defeated, admitted he had no one to blame but himself—after all, it was his idea to invent such a ridiculous game.

Once again, Cena proved he’s not just a WWE and Hollywood superstar, but also a master of late-night comedy chaos.
