Keanu Reeves is finally addressing those swirling marriage rumors — and, in true Keanu fashion, he’s doing it with quiet humor and heartfelt grace.
While speaking with Access Hollywood at the New York City premiere of his new film Good Fortune, the 60-year-old actor praised longtime girlfriend Alexandra Grant for the way she handled recent speculation about their relationship status.
“It was nice,” Keanu said with a warm smile. “Alexandra really found a way to say thank you — and to also keep a real perspective on what was actually going on. I thought it was great.”
The actor’s comments came just weeks after Grant took to Instagram to clear the air about the reports that she and Reeves had secretly tied the knot. “Thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding — except we didn’t get married,” she wrote. “Good news is much needed these days, but this one’s still fake news. So, be careful out there.”

It was the kind of witty, good-natured post fans have come to love from the acclaimed artist, who has been quietly dating Reeves since 2018 after years of friendship and creative collaboration.
The two first met through their art book Ode to Happiness and later co-founded a publishing company together, combining their passions for words, art, and emotional truth. Their relationship blossomed away from the spotlight, built on mutual respect and shared values rather than celebrity fanfare.
At the Good Fortune premiere, the couple radiated their usual understated chemistry. Grant, dressed elegantly in deep sapphire blue, joined Keanu on the red carpet, where the two shared a tender kiss before posing for photographers. It was a moment that captured everything fans admire about them — quiet love, genuine joy, and authenticity without spectacle.

During the interview, Keanu also opened up about why he said “yes” to the whimsical new project — a comedy starring Aziz Ansari, Seth Rogen, and Sandra Oh — where he plays a guardian angel.
“I met with Aziz about the project,” Reeves explained. “It was such a wonderful concept, such a great script. Getting to work with him, Seth, and then Sandra Oh coming on board — it was just a joy.”
Known worldwide for his stoic, heroic roles in John Wick and The Matrix, Reeves admitted that stepping into comedy was both challenging and refreshing. “Comedy’s no joke,” he laughed. “You have to find the rhythm, the timing, and the truth — just like in action, but with a different heartbeat.”
And like any good Keanu story, there was a touch of danger involved. The actor revealed he suffered a fractured kneecap during filming after taking a tumble on set.
“Yeah, I tripped and fell,” he chuckled. “Danger everywhere! But it’s all healed now — everything’s good.”
Despite the fake wedding rumors and on-set injuries, Keanu and Alexandra continue to embody the rare kind of Hollywood romance that thrives in sincerity and quiet strength.
As the cameras flashed that night, Keanu didn’t need grand gestures or elaborate declarations. His soft grin toward Alexandra said it all — the calm certainty of a man who’s found real happiness, no headlines required.
