In the latest episode of his Ghosts in Grits podcast, Jack Osbourne — son of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne — opened up about his family’s grief and strongly denied speculation that his father’s death had been orchestrated.

“We were shocked by the outpouring of love. From the letters and cards to the flowers left at Birmingham Bridge or dropped off at the house — we saw it all, and it made us realize we weren’t alone. The overwhelming feeling has been gratitude,” Jack shared emotionally.

Cherishing the Final Days Together

Jack recalled that shortly before Ozzy’s passing, the family unexpectedly shared a special week together in England. The Osbournes had originally planned a trip to Portugal, but Jack’s children fell ill, forcing them to stay home.
“We just hung out at our family house in England for a week, and it was awesome. I’ve never been so grateful for my kids to have the stomach flu as I am today,” Jack said.

Addressing the Rumors

In recent weeks, rumors had circulated suggesting that Ozzy — who had long battled Parkinson’s disease and emphysema — had planned his death through assisted suicide. Jack firmly dismissed the speculation:
“That is categorically untrue. There were stories about him going to Switzerland for euthanasia and that it was all planned. Absolutely not. That never happened.”

A Perfect Farewell

Just over two weeks before his death, Ozzy Osbourne took his final bow on stage with Black Sabbath during a benefit concert in England. Despite his health struggles, he gave fans one last powerful performance.
