Prince William is offering royal fans a rare glimpse into his personal life. In a new preview of Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler with host Eugene Levy, the Prince of Wales opened up about the challenges he faced in recent years—admitting that 2024 was the most difficult year of his life.

The clip shows William and Levy sharing lighthearted moments as they tour Windsor Castle. When asked what he does at home, the royal candidly replied, “Sleep. When you’ve got three small children, sleep is an important part of my life.”

But the conversation quickly turned more serious when William reflected on the struggles he has endured. “I’d say 2024 was the hardest year I’ve ever had. You know, life is sent to test us as well, and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are,” he shared.

The remark comes after a difficult period for the royal family. Both his wife, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and his father, King Charles III, have undergone cancer treatment within the past two years. Adding to the strain have been ongoing rumors of tension between William and his estranged brother, Prince Harry, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020 with his wife, Meghan Markle.

Despite the challenges, Prince William’s candid words highlight his resilience and determination to carry on with his royal duties while supporting his family.
