Recently, Robert Irwin – the son of the famous “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin – shared his excitement about joining Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) and revealed that Bindi Irwin’s daughter, Grace Warrior, might appear on the show in the future.

In a conversation with Whitney Carson on Mirrorball Confessions, Robert spoke about his first impressions when paired with his dance partner: “I was genuinely surprised and so excited. I didn’t think they would pair me with Whitney. When we got in there, it was a real ‘wow’ moment – I felt thrilled and grateful.” He emphasized that it was a full-circle moment for him, recalling his childhood and the privilege of working with people he admires.

Whitney Carson shared similar feelings: “Being paired with Robert was such a surprising and fun experience. We know when to focus and work hard, but when we’re not dancing, everything is relaxed and fun. We became best friends from the start.”

One highlight of this season is how Robert brought a slice of Australian culture and his bush upbringing to the dance floor: “We wanted to bring a bit of the Aussie outback into the ballroom and pay tribute to my childhood. It’s a chance to continue the legacy my dad created, and I’m so proud to do that.”

Robert also spoke about his family’s reaction, especially his young daughter Grace: “The moment I looked at Grace during the confetti was so sweet. She loves dancing and was so excited. I truly believe that one day, Grace will appear on DWTS season 50.”

Robert concluded his experience with gratitude and optimism: “Bindi’s family has been amazing, and so has mine. We’ve all come together, and everyone is like best friends. Grace really enjoys Whitney’s boys, and they get along so well. It’s wonderful to have the support of loved ones on this journey.”
