Why Gwen Stefani Calls Blake Shelton Holiday Plans a “Blessing”

Gwen Stefani is fully embracing the holiday spirit—and she’s doing it alongside the love of her life, husband Blake Shelton. The music and fashion icon recently opened up about their Christmas plans, calling their holiday routine a true “blessing” as the couple prepares to celebrate the season together.

Appearing on The Today Show on December 4, Gwen shared that she and Blake have found the perfect rhythm for the holidays by splitting their time between two very different worlds: Los Angeles and Blake’s home state of Oklahoma. Rather than choosing one place over the other, the couple happily “bounces back and forth,” enjoying the best of both.

“Blake and I, we just bounce back and forth between Oklahoma constantly,” Gwen explained. “So this December, we’re going back there and then we’re going to bounce back to L.A.”

For Gwen, the travel isn’t stressful—it’s meaningful. As a mom of three, family time is everything, and being able to celebrate holidays in multiple places allows everyone to feel included. Even Thanksgiving became a double celebration this year.

“We just had Thanksgiving, you know, we had to do two of them,” she said with a smile. “So it’s been a blessing to be able to do that. We’ll do more of the bouncing back and forth, back and forth—and I love it.”

Gwen also shared her growing affection for Oklahoma, especially during the winter months. “I love Oklahoma, though. This time of year is the best. It’s so beautiful,” she added, clearly charmed by the quieter, more rustic side of life she’s embraced since marrying the country star.Image

Travel isn’t the only holiday tradition the couple looks forward to. Gwen recently stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she revealed a delicious custom Blake introduced to their family celebrations: a massive, indulgent dish known as a timpano dome. Described as a carb-lover’s dream, the dish combines pizza, pasta, and layers of rich ingredients baked into one impressive dome.

The moment turned even more memorable when Jimmy Fallon surprised Gwen by bringing out a timpano on set—claiming he had made it himself. Gwen’s shocked reaction and laughter made for a festive, lighthearted exchange that perfectly captured the couple’s joyful holiday vibe.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton tied the knot in 2021, six years after their romance began on The Voice. Since then, they’ve never shied away from sharing their love—especially when it comes to Christmas. The two even collaborated musically on Gwen’s 2017 Christmas album, blending their styles into a celebration of the season.

In a previous interview, Gwen summed up her feelings simply: “I love Christmas. I love holidays.” For her, the season is about family, traditions, gratitude—and now, a life shared between Los Angeles lights and Oklahoma skies.

As Gwen sees it, being able to celebrate it all, in more than one place and with the people she loves most, isn’t complicated at all. It’s a blessing.
