Holly Willoughby has accused TV bosses of treating her like a product, not a person — claiming she was ordered to go braless on a children’s show to ‘hook male viewers’. Holly Willoughby has unleashed explosive new claims about the treatment she endured as a young presenter in children’s television, alleging she was pressured into sexualising herself to boost ratings.

Before becoming a household name on This Morning, Holly fronted ITV’s Ministry of Mayhem alongside Stephen Mulhern and appeared in S Club TV. But behind the fun and chaos of kids’ TV, Holly says there was a darker reality.

“They treated me like a product, not a person… like my body was just a marketing tool,” she said, recalling how she was allegedly told to go braless on set. “I was humiliated, cornered, and told to smile while they stripped away my dignity.”

A friend revealed to the Mail on Sunday that the demand was deliberate. “Before I even knew who Holly was, I saw her without a bra on and asked a director why she was dressed like that. Later Holly admitted they made her do it, that the shows weren’t really for children at all. It was staggering.”

Industry insiders claim young women were routinely pressured into wearing provocative outfits. One source told OK!: “Television was run mostly by men, and young ambitious women were hired on the condition they did as they were told. Saying no wasn’t an option.”

Holly became known for donning playful costumes – even a French maid outfit – during the two years she hosted the show between 2004 and 2006. It was during this time that she met her future husband, producer Dan Baldwin.

Speaking in 2019, Holly reflected on the “wild” atmosphere of kids’ television. “There were times when we went straight from the hotel bar to going live on air,” she admitted. “If you messed up, no one cared. It got a bit too wild when my breast popped out of my dress.”
