Nainai: Fourteen Years of Neglect, A New Life Begins
For fourteen long years, Nainai lived a life of loneliness and neglect. Locked away and ignored by her owner, she grew sad and sick, her spirit worn down by years of isolation. Despite her suffering, every attempt to rescue her was met with resistance. Even when threatened with police intervention, her owner refused to let her go—until money was offered, and he agreed without hesitation, showing just how little he cared for Nainai.

With no other choice, rescuers brought Nainai to a shelter, where she was given food and a safe space. She watched other dogs play, but she was frail, weak, and unsure how to be happy. Still, she tried her best to join in, though happiness was something she had forgotten.
The next day, Nainai was taken to the vet. Despite the unfamiliar environment and the many people around, she remained gentle and polite, even playing with the staff. The vet examined her carefully and, considering her age, found her to be in relatively good health. However, her heart was weak, her body thin and malnourished.
With proper care and nutrition, the vet assured, Nainai could regain her strength and beauty. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with endometritis—a uterine infection. Surgery was too risky, so the doctors prescribed medication and began treatment immediately.
At first, there was little improvement, despite intensive care. But soon, Nainai began to show signs of recovery. Her fur started to grow back, she gained weight, and her energy returned. However, the infection persisted, requiring weeks of continued treatment and close medical supervision.
Gradually, Nainai’s condition improved. Her health stabilized, and she regained her elegance and vitality. She spent more time playing with other dogs, rediscovering the joys of life she had missed for so long.
Then, a new opportunity arrived—Nainai was chosen for adoption. Her new family came to bring her home, showering her with love and attention. In her new house, Nainai was pampered and cherished by everyone. She lived like a princess: happy, energetic, and playful.
Nainai’s journey from neglect to love is a testament to the power of compassion and second chances. May she continue to be blessed in her new life, surrounded by the care and affection she always deserved.
